I don't want anything, other than the truth, not speculation. I'm certainly NOT anti Adam nor am I anti Nick, what I don't like is people posting hearsay and gossip and presenting it as facts. There's been a lot of that, but because its from mostly 2 "respected" posters, its accepted as fact. I've simply been pointing out that neither of those 2 are right all the time, and they could, just could mind, be actually wrong this time. It's really easy to post lots of one line posts and be really mysterious about sources etc, and I have to hand it to them, they've suckered a lot of gullible fools into believing their every post, personally, I'll wait to see what actually does come out, officially, and make up my own mind based on that.
Or to paraphrase: "I don't care if you believe me or not but me and my best mate Nick know the truth"
ole G for me as he would unite players and has some experience. I do not recommend an untried manager but my wild card in an untried category would be Geo Boeteng for leadership, committment to cause, experience of how other top clubs run
Mick McCarthy is working the EUROs for the BBC as a co-commentator, so if it's him, they better hurry up. Another point is, would the Allams sign somebody who is then off on business elsewhere rather than sorting the team and things out.
If that's the case ****it, I'm changing it back to Humberside. Stop sympathising for a thick out of work **** manager like McCarthy, can't currently think of anyone I'd like less as a manager, except Megson.
I heard Steve Bruces name on Tuesday but he's a total knob. I wouldn't want McCarthy, or Joyce for that matter. Nor would i want Davies. Give it to Jeremy Kyle or something.
Hmm... interesting. Was told Billy Davies will deffo be coming in, Allams had looked into it as soon as Nick's infamous 'interview'. Just been told since the LMA got involved, the Allams have realised how costly replacing management/coaches will be and realised how unpopular their decision has been with fans, so are now waiting longer to weigh up their options, hence today's 'no news'. Whether it turns out to be true or not, who knows.
Whatever the outcome, the Allams have lost out in the popularity stakes, but with regards to sorting the situation out, it's almost WIN-WIN doing it that way, if you think about it. I mean, if they decide to offer Barmby the chance to manage the side and he accepts, they win because it'll be popular with fans, players and their wallets. If he tells them where to shove it, compo pretty much goes out the window and they get to do what they originally intended.
I think this is spot on. How can it take this long to sack someone. HOWEVER, there are loads of issues now: 1. Are they considering not sacking him and reinstating him? 2. Will he swallow his pride and agree for the good of the club? 3. Will he attach any strings? 4. Will there be a tipping point where the cost of replacing him (not just financial cost) becomes less than keeping him (in terms of money and "face") Now, if this is what's going on, I can see why there was no outcome from the meeting. Hope I'm right and hope they can reconcile! (if this is true)
I'm pretty sure dazzar ain't far wrong. I doubt they'd pay compensation if they are advised its not a sack able offence. I wonder if they spoke to their lawyers before the suspension? If they are good business men they must see good business in Nick staying on, for a number of reasons, PR, players and season pass sales. I stand by what I said in another thread the Allams need there own guy in a director of football role rather than a different manager.
Please god, let it be Mick McCarthy!!! We can still sing 'He's one of us' He might even bring across a few good players from the newly demoted Wolves??
I,d heard Steve Bruce mentioned as a candidate as the Allams want to keep the good relationship we have with Man Utd, SAF has always looked favourably on him in the past with loanees, they had welbeck and various others, so as shrek like as his looks might be, he might worth looking at.
Billy Davies is a pundit on Sky for this play-off game. Doubt they will ask him about it though, especially since the game featuring us last weekend didn't mention us, despite us being involved.
Madhog... "Adam only ever looked after the best interests of the club and Joyce was clearly a useless twat" and how do you reckon that out then?? Joyce was so useless he inspired a group of average journeymen & kept us in the football league, was doing OK the following sesaon too.. I only see one USELESS TWAT around here..
