Zidane Ronaldo (although i hate to admit it) Cantona/Schmeichel In that order - couldn't decide for 3rd, but for the record Zidane is easily the best player i have ever seen with my own eyes - amazing skill and ball control
Zidane for me is the finest player ever. Used to watch him at Bordeaux when i lived in the Périgord World player three times after that ... and guess what I see the same in Adel Taarabt ... some on here think Tarrabt is/was lazy and had a attitude ... well you never saw a early Zidane
So difficult to pick only 3......Will ignore R's players on this occasion..... Law/Best/Charlton from the Man U side in 68 Osgood from the chelsea side of the late 60's early 70's Shilton didn't matter if it was leicester, stoke or forest he always played well against the R's Would have chosen Gordon Banks instead of Shilton but he always had a nightmare against us!!!!
Notwithstanding our iconic no. 10s - each of them. Most memorable class players seen a few times in their prime and never disappointed: Bobby Charlton Georgie Best Peter Shilton (from front row in Loft - almost impossible to score against!)
If you're talking about entertainers, then... Stan Bowles Tony Currie Duncan McKenzie Charlie George Frank Worthington Oh dear, that's five.
Being a younger member can't say I ever saw the likes of Bowles, Best and co. Best players I've ever seen live would have to be Beckham, Scholes and Rooney. Most enjoyable to watch if I'm allowed a fourth...Sinclair.
Rodney Marsh Stan Bowles For my third pick I would include three absolutely world class players, perhaps slightly past their prime, who I was very fortunate to see playing in the North American Soccer League against the local team, Vancouver Whitecaps, in 1977:- Pele (New York Cosmos) Eusébio (Las Vegas Quicksilvers) Beckenbauer (NY Cosmos)
Alan Mcdonald GREAT defender Sir Les Brilliant Gary Lineker Have to say it the day we were 2 0 up at Spurs and he scored a hatrick to beat us he was unplayable
Rooney?! For me, I'm not lucky enough to have seen the older greats, so all mine still play. Iniesta Messi Ronaldo
1. Messi - was there in March when he scored 5 goals in the Nou Camp in the Champions League. What a thrill. 2. Iniesta - when I seen him and Xavi playing live I knew they would destroy the Irish midfield pairing of Glenn Whelan and Keith Andrews in the Euros. 3. Les Ferdinand. His pace and power was something else and boy could he jump to head a ball. He was only about 5'10 but he regularly beat centre halves in the air 5 or 6 inches taller than himself.
Dalglish -vision and passing. Lineker - lethal. Cantona - c##t but what a player. Could of added Wilkins (never a bad ball) and Hoddle, I know he's remembered as a fruitcake, Eileen Drury etc. which to me is a shame but I just remember him and Waddle tearing us apart 5-2 at LR. Simply unplayable that day.
