One difference is that he looks as though he is a tourist (literally) and taking in a PL game as part of his trip. That stupid bint was presumably from Hull. Why didn't our fans give her grief? We have too many come lately types attracted by the PL who don't see anything wrong with this sort of nonsense. Can't imagine fans of other clubs would have given her such an easy time.
Old school fans are leaving for a host of different reasons, but mainly a feeling of detachment from the club, they're replaced by people that seem to lack the same feelings and understanding. Recent events and responses have left me with little confidence that this has been recognised as a significant issue, or when it has, if those involved care or see it as a problem.
