There you go Chief, I knew you and I would have something in common eventually (we probably agree about George Best and Eric Cantona as well, but we’ll leave that for another day).

i had some years and years ago, as an alternative to Docs... Uncomfortable as ****, but loved them.
back to the trainer theme, i wear sambas, not comfy, and utter **** in icy weather. but love them, yet to see a decent thing from nike.
Big fan of Loakes; we don’t make much of anything in this country anymore, but they’re a historic British company still making a top class product from their factory in Northampton.
Life’s too short to wear anything that’s not comfy, especially shoes,
Okay, I make an exception for DMs which cripple your feet for about a week while you break them in, but only because after that, they’re like a second skin.
I love Loakes, but alas not all of their shoes are made in the U.K. anymore. They also have a factory in India, but tbf to them they clearly show what’s made where on their site.
Saw the trainer debate and thought mine were nice than both.
Rocking a pair of these atm
Hold on let me put my sunglasses on.
Still no better.
