I know we're down to 10 men and all that but we went in half time at 1-1.

You cant concede this amount of goals in the PL and expect to pick up results. I'm a bit gutted as I thought we had a good chance in this game.

The score line is harsh on us. I don't think Stoke have been that great .

O'Neil's moment of madness is so frustrating.

It certainly was and such a pointless tackle. Had we had all 11 players on the pitch, we could have got a point I feel. Oh well, let's go to Bournemouth and do the double on them!!! <ok>

At 1-1 I can't help feel that it was a little fool hardy to chuck on those attacking subs. As I said b4 you don't bung Redmond on unless you have nothing to lose. We should have held for the point and gone for it a bit in the last 15 mins if we had gone behind.
I love AN for the have a go attitude for the main but not sure 10 men with 30 to go and a point still held was the time to do it!

Bah!

Had we had all 11 on the pitch i think we might even have beaten them! We looked good until GON cocked it up for us!

We were playing the better football... their 2nd came out of nothing really, not due to our tactics.

I hear what youre saying but just wanted to mention that.

Let's just beat Bournemouth and forget about this game. Gaz surely will have to work very hard to win back a place in the team after that. I thought the reason we played him was for his experience and cool head?

Yep and yet his rash challenge in exactly the same nothing place arguably cost us two points against West Ham too. Not good enough for a senior squad member.

Hasn't he recently been banned for speeding - in December I think it was???

Oneil always has that in him

Never mind move on we need to keep All the guys on the pitch Saturday and score at least 2 as Mr run away I ain't been picked is bound to get a lucky deflection

Have to agree that I don't think putting on Redmond and Jarvis at the same time was the right decision.

I thought we looked good until that point, and of all our midfielders Odjidja looked the best at retaining possession and had a good understanding with Mbok. Taking off Hoolahan for Redmond would have made sense to me, but I actually thought taking both Hoolahan and Odjidja ended up gifting Stoke more ball and more space, which in turn ramped up the pressure.

Neither Redmond nor Jarvis played badly, I just don't think in the circumstances it was the right thing to do. Though I can see we were going for the pace and what he was trying to do.

Still, as others have said, we move on. Bournemouth's way more important.

Agree with the sentiments here. Hard on a cold, rainy night in Stoke with 11 men, let alone with 10. Let's just move on to the next one (and with the fixtures coming up bloody hell is it important).

Great to have Jarvis back, he looked proactive even when the game was gone and I think him and Vadis can cause Bournemouth some problems.

Didn't see all of it but Mbokani looked especially good today. It's too radical to do in reality but I think him up top with someone like say... Naismith could work really well. Mbokani's ball retention and subsequent distribution is usually pretty solid and Naismith is the sort of striker that could do the rest.

Would love the chance to see what Vadis could do centrally, as opposed to forced out wide right (again)
Last night he made some telling runs, but reminded me of Snodgrass in that he cut inside onto his left foot to make the final pass.
In the middle he would have options both sides and I think he'd be effective in the hallowed 'Sir Wessi' role?

I agree - Vadis and Howson are not natural widemen and we lose a bit of their effectiveness when they are played wide. I'd like to see Jarvis start on Saturday with Vadis behind Mbokani in the Wes role.
