Just a little (and only a little!) before my time Norkie, didn't we have to re-apply for election to the league? Yet it (1948) was the year of our record attendance!

If we could get 37,863 in these days, maybe I could get a ticket! <laugh>
 
Gandy bor, stood on terrace opposite South Stand. Believe 42,000 plus, railway sleepers inserted in ground to prevent fans falling down embankment. Fans sat on sleepers also on top of Barclay Stand. Atmosphere terrific, crowd singing OTBC as a battle anthem, not the current pathetic effort. Believe me it was sung with endeavour.
