I used to go sea fishing from Littlehampton many years ago, the highlight of the day was to dock at 4pm, shower and change in the skipper's changing rooms, then visit about 6 or 7 King and Barnes pubs before setting off home to Brockley! Happy days!
I will admit that when I first saw the "Kings and Barnes" name I assumed they were cigarettes. I am no wiser as to their status though.
A nice memory - they produced a low strength 'boy's bitter' which you could drink loads of on a hot day without subsequent 'misadventure'
