When I had mine done, I had conceded a penalty against the surgeon's team the previous Saturday! We had won 4-1 so luckily I had bragging rights for that but I thin he made it perfectly clear he had seen better tackle during his career!
I tell you what I think is worse, I'm starting to develop cataracts, which eventually will have to be removed, they cut your eyeball using local anaesthetic! I am really not looking forward to that!
I consider myself lucky in the health stakes. Never been in hospital (except for the snip) Must be the red wine and Woodfordes Nog
Don't worry Dave, I've had a detached retina and cataracts. Cataracts are a stroll in the park. They can numb it with drops and they make the tiniest cut in the eye. Detached retina is a bit more tricky as they inject the eye to numb it and after the op you have to sit and sleep upright for two weeks! Had mine done during the last World Cup. Thank goodness there was nothing to get out of my seat for!
