You'd be happy had you won it. You put out strong teams against Ajax but they got the better of you. Yes... it's disappointing to lose out in the Champions League, but responding to that by winning another trophy ain't half bad at all

As I said, United focus on the major trophies. Congratulations on winning the European Plate though. Massive achievement for a club like Chelsea.

You played strong teams against Bilbao but were beaten by a better team... You wanted to win it and loads of the fans wanted to. But of course you'll take the stance of when you were knocked out that 'it doesn't matter'

I would have been as happy as I am when we win a Shield.

Its nice but then again I wouldnt care at all if we lost because its not important at all. Just a lot of wasted energy.

Cheers. It got us 2 trips to Prague and a weekend in Amsterdam. We won what was put in front of us... Can't do better than that... (apart from winning the Champions League again but that's beside the point.. <whistle> )

Not true. We played strong sides to keep the players fit, as was evident from the games the players treated them like training matches.

The fans, well..... I think we got our lowest attendances and had even lowered the prices. Says it all.

But we did win so it's ended up being a good achievement winning all 3...

So you've gone from saying you played weak sides as you were concentrating on the league to saying that you played strong sides but treated them as training matches! That's one hell of a U turn... Fergie said he wanted to win it and he wouldn't let his players just play like they didn't care

    We'll never agree.

12 months ago you would be siding with us. You would of laughed at the thought of winning the Europa League before starting to cry at the potential horror of having to convince yourself it was a good thing.

You're right... But winning it is a good feat when you're in it. But the argument is winning all 3... Not just this one

'We concentrated on the league' would imply that... yes

Ah, you Chelsea fans and your Europa League. You'll never be happy until someone other than you says it's a big deal. Even when your own manager says it was a disappointment you still don't give up

Maybe because when things are confidential we like to keep them confidential? <whistle>

Let's see, who should we believe? The parties that don't have a vested interest in the outcome of the deal, or the one that does? Why would Chelsea possibly want to hide the truth, if it turns out that they tried to use Mata and / or Luiz as makeweights then the deal collapses? Can't see that having any negative implications for the Chelsea team...

Seriously, you guys are as bad as Ginger Marks and his insistence that Terry couldn't possibly have had an affair cos the bird denied it <laugh> You might as well ask how dare anyone accuse Harold Shipman of murder when he said he didn't do it.

Possibly a case of 6 of 1 half a dozen of the other. I personally can't see Jose being allowed to bandy top talent around willy nilly like that as the board, I imagine, have final say. Maybe it was a PR exercise to prove to the Chelsea fans Jose runs the show and the board will back him this time. Maybe united weren't offered either player + cash which is why te deal never went through. I've yet to hear a united fan accept that as a possibility which I think is a bit disrespectful to Mata. He's a great player and any team in the league would be more than happy to get him on a free and be paid to do so. At the moment united are stuck with an unhappy Rooney and Chelsea have two top players not going anywhere. Non starter really if you ask me but what do I know?

Who denied Terry having an affair? Maybe the same that will tell you Rio wasn't positive...
