Don't know about anyone else but halfway through today's game I found my appetite for Wembley had disappeared and I found myself almost dreading it. Trying to get myself in the right frame of mind, should I just be thinking its a day out with other City supporters and no matter how crap we play just clap and cheer and pretend I don't care. Problem is I do care, I don't want to be sitting there at half time thinking we've no chance. Its a long way to go and costing a lot of money. I really really want the team to go out fighting for every ball and defending properly and not conceding an early goal or a stupid sloppy goal as they have done for the past few games. My confidence in the team is shot to pieces.
I was just about to post the same. Kin ell. 3 and a half years waiting for the right moment and that's it!
The team displays we have seen over the last few weeks will be a distant memory next Saturday. The commitment will be back as this is the game they have been trying not to get injured for and if we are beaten it will be after a bloody good fight.
Well I should be flattered he chose my thread to post on ! Maybe as the week goes on and excitement builds I will feel differently. Bruce has a lot of work to do with the team this week, one thing for sure Arsenal will be so so confident.
It's just Brucie's special tactics to lull them into a false sense of security, so they think we're really crap, they turn up thinking they're goin to stroll it and we catch them cold, get in front and shut them out!
I've waited 40 years to get to a cup final and I think that someone who's moaning that his appetite for Wembley had disappeared needs few more words then that - 2nd comment in 3 years now
There is nothing to fear about Wembley. The Cup Final is do or die. We have absolutely nothing to lose, Arsenal have everything to lose. For Hull City win or lose we have exceeded expectations and nobody will point fingers at Steve Bruce. If Arsenal lose, it will rock them to the core. We all sat in the semi final at half time wondering what on earth had happened. Then with a wave of the sub list, Steve Bruce rang the changes and we were victors. Wigan did it and so can we.
Back to the OP's original question. Well my thoughts on Wembley are, it's big , it has a big thing on top of it that you can see from the London Eye, also it's going to have a game next Saturday with some team from London & some upstarts from Up North! There's probably more I could say about my thoughts on the stadium but right now I've got a nice cold beer to drink. Oh yeah, 6 days & counting ish. COME ON YOU 'ULL!
You know that night before you start a new job and you're having a panic attack because you're not up to that job. But you start work and you are. Or the dream where you walk into the office and you're naked. But it's just a dream. Or when the boss asks you about the next quarters fiscal projections in front of the whole senior management team and you not only forget your own name but all you can think about is that when you were 7 you had a gerbil called Max, and Max died, and you were so sad because you didn't know death was real and suddenly that memory is so real for you that you start to cry. And everyone thinks you're crying because you haven't memorised the bloody sales figures. Oh, just me then. It's called anxiety. You're feeling anxious. It's normal. Perfectly normal It'll be alright. It'll be fine. Relax. We are going to win the cup.
don't talk about panic attacks, i've ****ing had about 30 in the last three weeks, it's ruining my life at the moment
you're the sort of nob who would win £5million on the Lotto then bemoan the fact it wasn't the Euromillions. cheer up you tit, it's the FA Cup Final and we're in it.
Sunderland beat Leeds Southampton beat man utd Ipswich beat arsenal Wimbledon beat Liverpool Wigan beat Man City. All underdogs and yet WINNERS. We have a chance ...That's good enough for me .
