It's still more reliable than "I think he would have stayed". Fact is he wanted to leave, he did, we move on.
He didn't want to leave before the club ****ed up. Obviously we have to move on, but it shouldn't be forgiven or forgotten. It was a major reason why we've not been more consistent up front this season and Bates and Harvey have to take the blame for it. Going back to the original argument where I first mentioned Gradel on this thread, selling McCormack and getting Beckford on loan is not a long-term approach. It's short-termism and even if it did get us promoted, we'd have a shell of a team and be forced into a state of loanee dependency which is very unhealthy.
