If you wish to talk politics or other such matters that are not covered, then you can quite easily start your own thread. Unless there are some rules that have come about over the years by agreement, there is no point in having a topic messed about with all sorts of random posts. People go to something that looks of interest, and they don't want to find things that are nothing to do with the title. Debate, but in an orderly manner.
