This Andrew Hart is an idiot, It does not matter if the person cleaning it is black or white. The guy should regard it as an honour to clean such an important statue.
There is no irony, the idiot who defaced this statue is part of the rent a mob having destructive fun. He should be flogged in the street along with the usual whingy apologists.

People see what they want to see, making something of that image was ridicules. The guy cleaning the statue would have laughed at idiots trying to make capital out of it.
You just don't get how you are being manipulated. There were a number of pictures, not just that one, showing a Tory MP holding a sponge making out that he was cleaning it up. It was a glorified photo op, nothing more, and you have fallen for it.
