itfcptc, If its right that we do have a hefty sell-on clause (as much as 50% has been said) i don't think it was bad business on either ours or Huddesfield part. Do i think we should have sold Rhodes, definately not! Like you i would have liked to have seen Connor going out on loan to a league 2 club to break him into senoir football against much stronger players than he was used to. And Rhodes getting as much game time as possible with us. As far as your other 2 mad decisions made by the dark lord, totally agree 100% in what you say.

But as plenty of people has said, its no good crying over spilt milk so lets just hope that the sell-on clause is as good as what is rumoured to be! Also thats just all wish that he who must not be named, gets the leicester as that will certainly **** their chances up.

Agree Guru, fingers crossed for that one, at least it'll be one club out of the race and you never know Leicester may sell some of their better players off cheap to us and buy some of ours completely over priced.

I don't know how nearly a year after Keane has left, the whole Keane era still really makes my blood boil. And your right, there's no good crying over spilt milk but sometimes I think it you can have a better debate about a situation a while back because you can get a better perspective on the situation. At the time Keane was a hero amoungst most of our fans and any decision he made no matter how ridiculous it seemed, he knew what he was doing and was some messiah, so it was just accepted by the majority of fans. Others like myself questioned every decision that he made, so its chance to have a little perspective in the aftermath, although saying that I still think I was right in questioning every decision he made!!!lol

Keane was not the Messiah, he was a very naughty boy!!!

It is one of, no correct that, it is the only thing that Keane done in his time here that I can see some logic in. Maybe we could have kept them both? maybe they would have both been frustrated, maybe Rhodes wouldnt have fitted in so well in this league? maybe with our defensive minded set up he wouldnt have had the opportunities?
I think Keane is the worst thing to have happened to our club during my years of support so maybe my logic on this issue is off!

Sadly he is one that got away. What is more annoying is that he has said he would come back in a flash, what are we waiting for????

I remember Keano (or somebody anyway) mentioning when Rhodes went that we had a big sell-on clause. At least if we bought him back we’d pay that to ourselves.

We didn’t have a buy-back clause by any chance?

Spanish: I remember you lauding Ebanks-Blake as a striker target when he played for Plymouth. Could you apply for a scouting job?

We have signed strikers with a good track record of scoring before and they have turned out to be lackluster. It stretches back to Sam Parkin, all the way through to Scotland, Priskin and arguably Chopra. They all scored hatfulls at previous clubs, but come here and don't get anywhere near matching that record. Who's to say Rhodes would be any different?
