It is hard to understand what the Villa fans were expecting. They have absolutely no patience. While they have challenged at the top recently they are certainly not a main stay. No one has a right to be in any position in this league. If you don't have the right players or the right financial backing then you're always going to struggle. Did they not expect a few seasons of upheaval and perhaps not the most exciting football? That's why I've never called for Hughtons head, because I see the process we are trying to get through, even if it is hard to watch at times. I think Lambert might not have fully thought about what he was getting into when he left. I get the feeling there isn't the same amount of committed backing from the fans as you get at Carrow Road.
I know I am, yet another spineless surrender, no team with any manager has ever surely tolerated so many god awful surrenders? Bah!
looks like lambert had a quick read of dave's rather repetive we're-better-off-without-you thread...and served hughton's ass to him on a plate.
I never said we're better off without him, although I believe we are! We'd have been relegated last year if he'd stayed! He left us because he didn't want to be here, he has already admitted that, though he was very cryptic about the reason!
Lambert became poisonous, we just need to pull together and get to probably 38 points, stay up, and regroup for the new season.
As we're currently lumbering along at precisely a point per game - and have recently lost to Cardiff, West Ham Fulham and Aston Villa, of the teams closest to us, that could prove to be too much of a Herculean effort
Look, at the end of the day, we may go down, we may stay up, we may sack CH, we may not sack CH, there is absolutely NOTHING we can do to influence that so why are we trying to rip the arseholes out of each other? Whatever happens, we ALL love NCFC and will continue to do so until we die!
I agree with you Dave. I don't think we can help ourselves though. After last weeks comments there were a number of smug comments about the improvements made and a degree of quiet from us knee jerkers. Another infuriating surrender was always going to spawn a reaction. This won't likely stop until Hughton leaves the club. For many of us things are to far gone to believe he can possibly win us over. Thats why after the great win last week I still thought/said wait and see. Its still only a win in isolation. Bah!
True but doable. We must however beat Sunderland, West Brom and Stoke at home and then get probably at least another point from somewhere. I do fear us on our travels as we just cannot buy a point currently and so I wonder if any additions may come from Liverpool and Arsenal at Carrow Road? When you look at the winnable home games they appear reasonable bets in isolation, it doesn't look so good when you look at them from an overall perspective!
