I've noticed some stars, usually five after the thread headline. Not all have them. As I'm new and maybe missed something, can someone please explain this? Thanks in advance.

Above the first post in a thread, there's a drop-down menu labelled "rate this thread" where you can choose a number of stars. It seems very few use it, and on other boards on the site people are moaning that there seem to be a couple of people who go around rating every thread with 5*'s for no real reason. That's not to say some threads don't deserve such a rating, but that the ratings seem to be applied at random.

Thanks for the explanation for such an uninteresting thread!

Ahhhh, Johnny! If only the RAF had posted my father to Martlesham Heath instead of Norwich in 1974, I may have been a fan of the blues! We were in Martlesham Heath in 1972 but I wasn't into football then.

That's a shame as you missed out on the Robson glory years but I guess you are kinda making up for it now!

Well, in my early years, I grew up between my parents in Norwich and grandparents in Oxfordshire. Therefore, I never appreciated the fierce rivalry between City and your team. I appreciated Bobby Robson did a great job for you with some gifted players. Mind you, I think when he was England manager, he could've given Steve Bruce a cap!
