I must admit I do enjoy it when the press start sticking the knives in to someone other than ourselves. It's been a while coming but it was worth the wait.

I know Liverpool lost (which is always funny), but I hope the media give full credit to Palace. This result for them could be far more important for them than a loss for Liverpool.

Exactly, this often gives me the hump when a big team loses to a supposedly smaller team. Something Saints have suffered from in the media quite often.

As I've said before on your board I like Liverpool, but I must admit the normally trashy Mirror has done a great job here.

I watched the Liverpool game yesterday and thought they were pathetic. In spite of the two goals, the first half was like watching paint dry and they looked ineffective and ponderous throughout.

I have developed a great hatred for the man at a jovial expense to myself. He embarrasses himself every time he opens his mouth in my opinion. Vastly overrated by his fortunate season last year imo

I think Rodgers is a very good coach and has improved numerous players.

He is also a complete douch and like many I'm taking great delight in his current struggles.
He believed his own hype last season and it's great that the comments about us and his belief that he was the only one in this world capable of controlling Mario Balotelli have come back to haunt him.

It means absolutely nothing unless we finish above them. It's where you are when you cross the finish line that counts.

That's right, find the cloud in a sky of silver linings. Of course it is disappointing if they finish above us, but it hardly means nothing. <doh>

It's not as if we fell away to mid-table. It's a measure of how far we have come.

If you back a horse e/w in the Grand National and it's in the front 4 all the way to The Elbow but then drops back to finish 7th, try getting paid out at the bookies.
