Truthfully? That Lenagan owns Wigan Warriors. Feckin' egg-chasers It's good to see that the Football League chairman voted 'yes' FFS
Greg Clarke has been heard saying what a tremendous fellow Allam is, based on a recent conversation he had over an agreeable meal. This was apparently the basis of his pro name change stance yesterday. Whereas the voices against the name change were silenced. In that context, 63% saying no is a pretty ringing endorsement. Surely an appeal to COAFS would be a waste of everyone's time, money and spirit. Time for the Allams to give it up and enjoy their on-field success.
You iz one gibberin' idiot bruv innit and thy shalt be struck down from whence thy came with the mighty hammer of ganymede.
The problem with some of the FA, is that they will have their own ulterior motives. Some people would have been letting Hull City be the Guinea Pigs if the name change was to go through, and see how we stood or fell by it. Just because they are part of the FA council doesn't mean they have the best interests of the game at heart.
This is spot on. Members of the FA Council will in many cases be voting for very political and self-serving motives.
Not sure I like the Council voting process. The membership committee looked at all the facts and stated there was no argument for changing the name. Yet they had no power despite that, and the vote was made by people with the option to completely ignore the facts if they wished, as almost a third did. Thankfully no harm was done this time, but the rules need laying out and they need to be strict.
It may be the case they've had a meal. Somebody high up at the Football League (either Clarke or the Chief Exec) definitely came out previously though and said they were in favour of allowing it, and the reason given was that they didn't want a precedent set that saw lower league clubs like Torquay denied the opportunity in future, when for those clubs it could be the difference between surviving and going bust. It was around he same time that Scudamore came out in favour of rejecting the change. Either that's 2 of the votes for the change (it would be odd if the Chairman and the CEO voted in opposing ways), or AA has been taking out to dinner the people who were already voting in his favour anyway.
You're seriously suggesting Dr Allam taking some people out for a meal influenced their vote? So for round 2 all he has to do is take all of them out for a bit of scram and he's sorted? Actually if he just takes out 15 of them for some nosh, he'll win. Here's a thought, maybe he's spoken to those people directly, and they see the logic and sense in his plans?
The corrupt FA need abolishing . They're ****s. I thought the full FA council was about 300 members...?
And make you as wise as me? No. We could just agree that the meals provided were of a standard high enough for some of the FA to vote for the change? I am going to use the OLM approach of saying nowt when pushed for answers to direct questions about statements I've made and pointing out that anything I say will just be ignored then twisted by some cretinous fool with their own agenda and hatred of the owner. Sure, I get it, my ignoring your questions is not the same as OLM ignoring mine, because you're "special".
I've been answering your questions for months, but have given up as you claim everything is lies, you ignore perfectly good reasons given and carry on claiming that there's a big conspiracy to gain control of the club and everyone involved in CTWD is the devil incarnate. Basically, you're a cock.
Does anyone have a breakdown of who the other 'yes' voters are? Could we encourage the East Riding FA to contact their Lancashire counterparts to express their dismay, and perhaps get the Lancs members to get their representative to change his mind for next year.
Asking pro-name changers to explain the logic and sense behind Allam's plans is equivalent to asking Joey Essex to explain the theory of relativity. You'll get a blank stare, and eventually smoke will come out of their ears.
