Lost Corberan mid season and Mowbray lost 5 out of his last 6 and lost the dressing room

Fair enough. Still sacked for not reaching the play offs though, ultimately, however you spin it. We'll see what Boro and Blackburn do.

To be fair to them, they’ve had a terrible injury record this season. Think I read somewhere they’ve fielded something like 30 different starting XIs this season.

I’m surprised they’ve sacked Thorup, to be honest. He’s not done too badly given the circumstances. Córdoba’s not that bad and Schwartau has been in and out of the team due to injuries elsewhere, not really a consistent starter. He’s played fewer minutes than Kamara, for example. Thorup’s appointment was always a ‘long-term project’ one so I don’t understand why they’ve binned him before the season’s even ended for finishing mid-table. Mowbray makes a bit more sense because he was never hired as a long-term option for West Brom.

Just had a glance at their forums (not on Not606) and it seems Thorup suspended Duffy for being late to a meeting. Clearly lost the dressing room after putting a senior player on the naughty step. Duffy was late because he lost his license for drunk driving and was relying on someone to drive him places.

Always thought Shane Duffy was a massive bellend. Still believe he scored those two own goals when playing for Blackburn because he was forcing a move to Brighton.

Blackburn probably keep Ismael as he’s done ok and they’re skint.

Boro probably would be justified given Carrick has now not got them over the finish line 3 years in a row

Norwich made the play offs last season and are now finishing bottom half. We finished bottom half and then came seventh. What a silly comparison.
