I believed the reason for Kalas poor form was once again playing a player out of position. His distribution from the left side was abismal. He is so much better playing right side of defence, sadly playing there to accommodate others effected his game. I hope Baker gets a deal because Kalas and Baker are a formidable defensive duo (when fit).

I like Kalas, who wouldn't?, but him and Baker are far too similar and both lack pace, I wasn't overly impressed last season when they played together.

Kalas needs a big strong dominant defender alongside him to bring out the best in him. Someone like Flint in his prime would suit him well

I think whoever the pick is Kalas and/or a hopefully fit Baker, if we are playing a back 4 we need a central defender with pace or if we go for a back 3 we still need the pace and that goes for the full/wing backs as well, we need pace and athleticism.

That has been part of our problem the lack of pace at the back.

Vyner has pace and athleticism,

Vyner has pace and athleticism,

Indeed he does and he is a great talent and in the main his breakthrough season has been a success, his achilles heel is losing concentration in our box and losing his man, usually ball watching especially at set pieces, hopefully that can be erased from his game.
