So are Arsenal. It's not enough for either of them anymore.
People talk about Wenger and Ferguson going and that definitely had an effect on things, but money has had the biggest one.

And that's why you don't get it <ok>

If you had read the post you would have seen the bit where i said they have always left enough money there for players transfer fees and wages.

Our problem is exactly the same as yours, the owners only care about income and as long as the man in charge is producing profit they couldn't care less about the football.

This is why you don't need a dictator or country to own you, just someone who gets the right people in to run the actual football side because they care.

Even if you were right about Utd (and you're not), how would that apply to us? We can't match your spending.

Your club is a cash cow and is run as such. Ours isn't and never can be until it starts winning stuff so your comparison is flawed.

He's certainly onto something about fans wanting a DoF, yet when we get a DoF they immediately disagree with their choices

Let's be honest, it's hardly unique considering fans have said Levy needs to move away from footballing decisions, yet when Trevor Burch and Steve Hitchen are brought in to do that they immediately complain about who were brought in to help run footballing matters

...or how they want us to close the gap financially on the Old Money and Nouveau Riche clubs, and then complain about using our stadium to host NFL games and concerts which go towards closing the gap financially on the Old Money and Nouveau Riche clubs

...or how they want us to sign players, and then complain because we're linked with players who aren't part of Nike or Adidas campaigns so aren't overrated on that year's FIFA

Everton are the best demonstration as to why you are wrong. Historically a much bigger club than us but going nowhere every year.

But most of those things aren't contradictory either, barring the non-football stadium use, perhaps.
You can want change and still disagree with the changes that are made.
If someone's blaring their music too loud and you complain about the volume, it's still ok to complain if they turn it up.

If the rumours are true, after a 2 month wait and missing out on anyone with any chance of making a go of sorting out the ****ing mess, we are going to make the dream appointment of the out of work and therefore, cheap as chips, Paulo Forfucksake-a...a manager with zero experience of any kind in English football, together with a DoF who also has zero experience of any kind in English football.

That should allow Daniel to skimp like **** on the budget for transfers and wages. At least getting rid of them should cost **** all. What the ****ing hell could go wrong? <laugh>

At least Daniel Levy was right about one thing, with these appointments, we are going to return to our values and DNA...

I can only presume that the paltry few million quid it would have cost to appoint Potter was all too much for Daniel?

At least one of the credible sources mentioned Potter was somebody we were looking at, I think Alasdair Gold said it, but the way they phrased it made Potter sound like a backup option (which is still one better than Scott Parker, who it was said was somebody we'd look at in 2-3 years or managers, whichever is quicker)

By being part-owned by Sky and hyped to the ****ing ends of the earth?
By massively outspending all of your opponents and having refs call your manager to ask for favours?
I'm guessing it's not one of these, but some myth about Utd being run better, like they're the size of Orient or something, isn't it?

The problem is, more often than not, they complain about the music being too loud and then complain when the volume is turned down

In terms of slagging off players, the fact we've had numerous unknowns or players under the radar go on to be big parts of our team, while at the same time seen numerous big names turn out to be utter dogshit for us, that's the complaint I never understand - not least because it's the same level as a Chelsea fan deciding to edit Paulo Fonseca's Wikipedia page to show how clever they are

...and, yes, there's a reason why I mentioned something so specific

    You are very bitter <laugh>

Not sure Sky was around when we made our name mate, football has been going a lot longer than that.

We have had some owners that have invested in the club over the years though <ok>

And now those owners would look like ****ing paupers in the Premier League.
Most of your success has come during this era and now it's over because there are clubs with more money.
That's with your side in a vastly advantageous position compared to most teams, yet you're still not competing.

I wonder who our next next manager is going to be?
Regardless of how Fonseca does, assuming that he actually gets the job, he's already buried with the fans.
It'll be like starting with having points docked or something.
