Its typical Spurs, slow slow slow. Madrid haven’t wasted anytime in appointing a new manager and I wouldn’t be surprised if Everton appoint a new manager before Spurs do.
Yeah it’s definitely frustrating. Though of course easier to Everton to snap up Nuno when he’s out of a job than it is for us to get highly rated managers out of clubs. Surprised Madrid have got Ancelotti so easily though, maybe he’s not as happy at Everton as people thought at the start of last season at least.
Madrid or Merseyside? 10th in the Prem or challenging for La Liga? You really surprised? Here’s hoping Carlo is like Zidane though and doesn’t rate Bale.
More or less mate, sounds like we’re just waiting for official confirmation. 3 year contract apparently.
Only surprised in some far as Madrid are ****ed financially so it’s hardly an ideal time to be taking over that kind of club with all the expectations that come with it. They need a lot of work done to that squad and haven’t got a lot of cash to do it. Then again it’s kind of a free hit for him going back there because he won them La Decima so I assume he’ll always be a legend there. Lifestyle must be better too like you say haha
Agreed but I know of no statistical test that would demonstrate that the last two points demonstrate anything. Although I've fitted a trendline it is pretty clear that a straight line is not the right shape, as the curve can at best be asymptotic to 1.
I've only ever used this data to measure ENIC's performance. Why do you think recent data should be given more weight? Are you even sure that the recent data is worse given it obviously becomes harder to improve performance the higher you get? Trying to detect actual changes in performance in random noise is the holy grail of statistics. I've done some of that as part of my job. I can assure you that even when you backtest patterns that look obvious to the naked eye there is often no significance.
My analytics show that comparing the current year league position to the 5 yr rolling mean, yields statistically significant info. Specifically, when P becomes <= MP, and the measure MP / P.
I don't see your point here Firstly, Los Ladrones haven't appointed a new manager (yet...), they're merely in talks with Ancelotti Secondly, various sources have stated we held talks with ten Hag prior to Ajax triggering the extra year on his deal, so to say we're dawdling doesn't add up as we have held talks with at least one prospective manager only for any compensation package to go out the window once his contract was extended for an additional year
Because Spurs still haven’t appointed a manager and Mourinho was sacked how long ago? Also Ten Hag contract extension was ages ago too so been plenty of time to move on to other targets. Ancelotti is 99% done and when did Zidane leave? It’s typical Spurs, dawdling about as usual.
2017- finished 2nd then lower every year until 2021- finished 7th Use all the technical data you want, the club is regressing
Which isn't what you said by any stretch of the imagination, and also doesn't change the fact that we were in negotiations for ten Hag so trying to claim we're dawdling on looking to hire a manager is simply wrong Or maybe we should follow Man Utd's approach, as they have never played for six months with a caretaker and lazily made them full-time manager ...oh wait, yes they have
