To be fair, it's only about a month. 11 years in a month is significant

Fair enough - it occurs to me I don't know as much about Wolves as my post suggested. However when they had Jota, Jimenez and Traore was in top form, they played some impressive football.

Still not sure they were even all that to be honest, Traore just finally decided to hit a purple patch for the first time in his career in England and racked up some goals and assists. He's back to being a B-tech Aaron Lennon these days, just a lot musclier.

Jimenez's injury and Jota' sale definitely hurt them though, two very good players to be without.

I'd say Nuno's been effective with Wolves but I just wouldn't really say they've been impressive to watch. Overall he's doing a good job though and I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a better/ bigger job offer in the near future, personally I just hope it isn't from us.

One tick against Farke right now is how Norwich have lost both their games since promotion was sealed, even though Watford can still pip them to the title

Tottenham Hotspur have made contact with Athletic Bilbao's 55-year-old Spanish manager Marcelino as they sound out potential candidates to succeed Jose Mourinho, who was sacked on Monday. (Athletic - subscription required)

Little extract from Ally Gold’s latest piece:
Two other men who have drawn Tottenham's interest though are Ajax boss Erik ten Hag and Brighton manager Graham Potter.

ten Hag hasn’t really been a name I’ve seen many speak of but could be an interesting shout, I like how Ajax operate too so getting in a manager from a club I admire could be a positive step. Good to see Potter being mentioned, he’s been a name who some of us here have mentioned but not necessarily seen too often linked in the media. Nagelsmann and Rodgers do seem the front runners whilst Gold seems to believe Sarri and Marcelino rumours are wide of the mark.

The obvious issue with Marcelino is he only became Bilbao coach in January, so they hold all the cards in negotiations (unless they offered him an 18 month contract or something like that)

The obvious drawback for me is we won't hear the end of how we hired a manager who lost back-to-back Copa del Rey finals in the space of two weeks, which no doubt Jamie Redknapp will have an opinion of...

Marcelino did a very good job at Valencia, which is no mean feat with their ****show of an owner.
Won the cup against Barcelona and qualified for the Champions League, only to be sacked after 3 games, only one of which did they lose.
He only took over at Bilbao earlier this year, though. Can't see this one happening.

There’s a few typically snobbish replies from some but since Gold mentioned Potter as being on our radar, he’s getting a bit of love on Twitter from Spurs fans.

All aboard the Potter train, people!

*providing the Nagelsmann train goes in the opposite direction*

German great Jurgen Klinsmann has said "anything is possible" after the former Tottenham striker was linked with a return to Spurs as manager. (ESPN)
