Some good and funny questions, strong answers too. Agree on his take on Mark Bresciano, would've likely done well in the Prem and been someone we'd have enjoyed watching. www.youtube.com/watch?v=sq43LnUDH4E&ab_channel=TottenhamHotspur
Bresciano is one of those players you'd swear had a couple of seasons at a Blackburn or a Middlesbrough in the early to mid 2000s, but never played in the PL
The interesting thing about the training videos coming out is you often see Ange isn't leading the drills, he's letting the coaches lead the drills while he stands back and observes Why is this interesting? Well it does give off the impression that he's overseeing things while letting the coaches find their own voice on the training pitch, which (in theory, anyway...) means that they can take that voice from the training pitch to the dressing room further down the line IIRC, this isn't dissimilar to Ralf Rangnick at Hoffenheim or the various tentacles of the Taurine Empire where he'd let coaches find their voice while he would oversee sessions from a step back (not to be confused with how Nuno seemed to be a passive observer on the training pitch) - so, yeah, this is me going back to the football romantic in me thinking off Ryan Mason & Matt Wells being nurtured into our future managerial double act
Not for the first time, The Sheikh Mansour Team seem to have trouble with letting other people play with their toys
Very positive indeed. First impressions are important and his words and attitude appear to give confidence. Mind you, that's starting from a feckin' low bar!
Sounds like Vio is no longer part of the coaching set up. Not really been confirmed as to whether that was Ange's choice or Vio's, as Vio is known to essentially freelance himself out. Quite a shame though, our set pieces last season were great and probably grabbed us a good 9-12 points on top of what we would've initially had. With Maddison now here to add to Perisic's set pieces (should he stay), sort of feel like we could've been even more of a problem, albeit I suppose with losing Kane we haven't got a reliable option to be on the end of them at the moment.
Perisic should definitely take our corners when he's on the pitch. There's an argument for having him in the box, but his delivery is excellent.
This could have been posted on a number of threads, but I chose this one.! There is a fast developing case to appoint Ange as CEO let alone Chief Coach!
I agree with his impact as a sub against Utd. He made one or two mistakes, but he caused them a lot of problems and his energy was important.
Nobody's posted a clearly doctored video to make it look like Ange was bollocking him this time, either
I have to admit that that wasn't how I saw his contribution. I think I commented that I thought he was struggling to keep pace despite coming on with 15-20 mins left. However - in Ange I trust. So if he was happy then I'm happy!

Almost so accurate; I’d just say Son and Kane would’ve enjoyed it under Jose, even if everyone else didn’t. Those two were great under him and it was where Kane really began converting to that hybrid 9/10 role.
Funnily enough, I was watching The power of the Dog last night and it reminded me of the football we played under the ubermensch Plodding, boring, and you wondered what the point of it all was
Ange has realised the importance of sorting out that dysfunctional midfield straightaway - and he’s done it. Maddison is an excellent signing - and fills the obvious void from last season. Bissouma is like a new signing. It remains to be seen if any player can score goals regularly. Losing Kane is a hammer blow, even if it made sense financially. It also remains to be seen if the defence will stand to sterner tests, but they now have some protection in front of them. He’s also identified a system and way of playing, with round pegs in round holes. You must be very pleased with the start he’s made. Celtic haven’t started too convincingly though.
