They've really caught the imagination across the pond.To be frank IMO it’s OTT and getting on my wick.
I’ve had it with those 2 yanks and their luvvy mates.
Ok they’ll be playing now in Division 4 after yonks in Division 5, well done, move on and to those Wrexham fans just get over yourselves.

Much the same might be said about us and our Malaysian benefactor. He saved us from a fate very like that suffered by Wrecsam and they are now climbing out of the mire. In some way, nicer to see a couple of ordinary Joes doing it and getting involved in a big way with good community support rather than rich sheiks or a bunch of US actors who are not involved at all. Of course, there are tax benefits and maybe a payoff too with some success. Swans were sold to the actors on that basis but the upside for them is much much more cost to get it. Wrecsam was a fine choice and a few more copycats could do no harm. it's very organic growth.

Have to say, I'm pleased for the club and their "genuine" fans.
Personally I'm up for as many Welsh clubs as possible returning to the football league.
BUT
The "fairytale" Wrexham story is of course anything but... At least, once you get past the fact that a seemingly random, small club has been taken over by big name celebs.
Since then it's mostly been about spending power beyond their rivals, end of.
You can't blame them for doing it... ANY club that can afford to buy better players than their rivals will give it a go and will be happily cheered on by a growing fan base as success ensues.
My gripe really is that this also represents some of the worst of modern football.
If it had been local business folks that had bought the club and taken them to promotion then it would have been the usual footnote in the records and newspapers.
Sprinkle a bit of celebrity endorsement on the whole thing though and suddenly a non-league team climbing back into the football league is a Hollywood story for all to regale in and be associated with.....
It's a sad reflection of football mirroring life in general these days. Celebrity and exposure is more important than any underlying history and reality.
Agree Brizzle.
As I’ve said before, football is all about money.
As I’ve also said before I’d rather watch my team struggling in the Championship than follow the oil rich plastics.
Having said that it would be nice if we could get someone to invest a little bit so we could become more competitive.
What about starting with a sponsor for our stadium? Only Spurs and us have no income from this.
The Cardiff City Mars Bar stadium?
The Cardiff City Anne Summers stadium?
Hell I don’t care what it’s called if it helps us buy a couple of decent players. I wonder if our so called board have thought of this?
Missed the boat with 2 Prem promotions.

) but to do it twice was unforgivable- it’ll be a long time if ever before we get another chance.
to them for doing it.There's an element of truth to this but then look at Salford. Also Notts County gad a marvellous stadium built for them by Nottingham City Council with EU money.....and having seen Chesterfields new stadium I was shocked. 10000 capacity.... brand new.....and no expense spared. What zwrexham have done coming from virtual bankruptcy is immense...and yes the owners have boosted income....but it IS organic in many ways. 3 million jn but that covers ground purchase and two new playing surfaces.....as well as the start of a new stand.......and usefully contributed via a natty series.Have to say, I'm pleased for the club and their "genuine" fans.

Completely agree with everything you say FFB and it's great news for Wrexham that the ground is back in "its" ownership. I've no doubt , having watched the first series of the programme that the new owners are doing an awful lot of good for the club and the area in general, but....There's an element of truth to this but then look at Salford.
