This Would Make For A Fantastic Week

Seems like our reverse psychology has worked. We've been fearing the worst for the past few weeks and it looks like finally the board has done something, Debuchy, the French-under-21 fullback, Mbiwa, Gouffran, much needed reinforcements seem to be coming in. Hope we can get them over the line as soon as possible. And then when Raylor, Saylor, HBA come back and fully fit, they'll be like new signings. So that makes about 7 signings this off-season.

Would be nice to see this batch of signings come through but I have my doubts it must be said. Of course Ashley would do well to protect his business with the massive sky TV deal kicking in next season. This is the last season any club owner will want to be relegated!

 

Can anybody tell me what's involved in a medical? Just interested. I'd imagine it involves looking over the medical history, running on a treadmill for a sustained period, having a doctors exam for potential problems... Anything else?

 

Blood tests to check for anything that might possibly happen in the future?

This days turing out to be truely awesome, just hop they all come off. Though god help us if we still get relegated, we will end up with a sizeable squad in the fizzy pop league!

Serious point, don't we have to have some English lads in our set-up? I know Arsenal had an entirely foreign team a few years back, but I thought there was regulations about the number of Home Grown players we had to have? Football manager always makes me sign ****ty HG players!

I wouldn't mind Bent, if it's under 8 mio. I don't see us paying more than that for any player. But then again, Bent is pretty similiar to Cissé, that's why I think Goufran will give us something slightly different. We need a pacey striker and a target man, not another finisher.
