The tradition came about because Saints always had to sell on their star strikers. With few exceptions, and until recently, the outgoing striker was nearly always better than the incoming much cheaper replacement. Has Peter Crouch ever scored against Saints. When we play Stoke, perhaps he'll take a shot in the last minute, have it saved and then we'll sprint up the pitch and bang in the equaliser/winner. That would be a nice tradition to start..!
If ifs and ands were pots and pans.... The one that got away: Man City 2 - 3 Man Utd 28/1 Check Everton 2 - 1 Spurs 15/2 Check West Ham 2 - 3 Liverpool 33/1 Check Top two results doubled 535/2 Check All three trebled 7395/1........ Doh!!!
BOOM Taken Messi just 25mins against a very decent Real Betis side to get the 2 goals he needed to get the all time record for most goals in a calendar year. Respect.
Not much, Chambo just came on in the 70th minute and had their first shot on target of the night, just 12 seconds after joining the game.
