I saw odds in the window of one of the bookies on Friday of 10-1 for 3-0 Leicester. I thought "if only!". I'm proud to say I don't gamble, but sometimes....
Looking at the table, I am slightly nervous after yesterday's results. It's no longer in our hands, with Sunderland only a point behind us and a game in hand. I know it's against Arsenal, but West Brom winning away at Man Utd shows you anything can happen at this stage of the season, and you can't take anything for granted. I am forever the pessimist, I'll be the first to admit! It looks like it's between us, Sunderland, Hull and Newcastle for the final spot. That game against Sunderland is absolutely massive, and could decide it, if I'm honest!
With our fairly decent goal difference, I think we just need to get 1 more point than Newcastle and hull in our remaining games. Hull aren't clear yet and have some tough fixtures. Even Burnley aren't going to turn over for them. If Newcastle stay as diabolical as yesterday, we only need 1 point from our last 3 games.
We win our next two games and Sundeland lose to Everton, we're safe with a game to go! There's also scenarios where we have to see what Sunderland do in their game in hand over Arsenal, otherwise it's last day... The only way I can see us being relegated before the final day involves a lot of teams winning a two or three games (including Hull beating Arsenal AND Tottenham away, Villa beating Southampton away and Sunderland beating Everton away) and us losing the next two.
