1. You say I make sweeping generalisations. I am reporting what Dianne Abbot said, the thrust of which was that certain sections of the young Muslim population were taking a more extreme and isolationist approach to their religion than their parents had, which is the opposite of what past generations of immigrants of all creeds had done.
2. She did not claim, as you seem to suggest, that when immigrants integrate, they give up their religion.
3. She did not claim or imply, as you seem to suggest by your reference to the bigots who blamed the Irish for the IRA in the 1970's, that this issue was relevant to all Muslims or all young Muslims.
It's easy to take an ostrich approach to this anomoly of extremism but given that London has already seen many lives lost by Islamic suicide bombers and given ISIL will use every avenue to hit its enemies in the West in their own backyards, our politicians would be failing in their duties to the public if they do not address it.

i love England mate but i have grown to dislike the culture of England today
i do not support Islam and i only have a limited knowledge of it ... there are many things i could never agree with
What i hate is how this nation pretends it cares and can't see that this hatred stuff is peddled to the Englishman
What makes me laugh is that no one really cares ... its just news ... of course some people have been hurt by extremists and i respect that pain of course
The english just move onto their next meal or consumer purchase until the next hand picked event designed to give you outrage
The english history is dreadful and left a nation feeling that they are always right ... I doubt if anyone cares enough collectively to feel ashamed at what this country has done in the middle east in the lsat 15 years. the people in power have brainwashed you in such a way that all is left is to moan at the events designed to do just that by the people in power on England.
Nothing would make me happier if the people could united and do something about the problems but you are conditioned to think more about MOTD or X factor or children in need. And so it rolls on until the next shocking story you can all moan about

I live in London but can only stick it for short periods and London is a country on its own not a city in the UK ... it feeds most of the UK in one way or another should i say corrupts and controls it. The values of this country have been completed eroded in the last 40 years so yes i prefer to spend a lot of my year in Southern France now because things there are how things used to be and the French guard their culture wisely ... IMO that is right ... they never forget that the people in power work for them whereas the people in power in England work for themselves and suppress real free thought ... We have eaten the sweets they have given us but i have chosen to spit that out.

Yes I still work in England because that is where my work is and that is where my skill set is . And yes i have deep conflict doing what i do ... supplying new ideas to companies how they can market and peddle their crap onto a hungry consumer and FFS. I get cross because i see a lot of stuff first hand and get an isight to new emerging trends all designed to take your money and trap you
Why are so many goods we buy made overseas? because they are cheaper made better and drip fed to us the marketplace ... we can't make much in the UK because we haven't got the ethic to do so nor have we the time we are too busy buying stuff we don't really need
Why are the houses in the south worth more than in the north ... why is that? money and corruption
I freed myself from all that rubbish and have no debts today ... i work hard and obtain enough money to live on its that simple for me and i feel very sad for a lot of the UK who are in debt or trapped in a system that is wrong. All that pressure paying a mortgage or worse still rents just to exist and purchase stuff that it the long run will not make you happy ... The UK is all at it and what values are behind it all?. Islam must be something that those people believe in and live their lives to that code ... its must be very difficult for you to understand that you are too busy thinking of ways to spend or worse still invest
They have spent or are gambling with your pensions, your money and your futures ... make your own and free your minds and help your fellow man whereby he or she comes from
"Why are houses worth more in the South?" Supply and demand. Money, as you say, but what makes it corrupt?
As for the Middle East, as long as Israel stays pretty much in tact I couldn't give two ****s about what "we" have done there.

We have a history of telling the world how we want it ... It's not our world
Col you may need to go out and see a bit more of it mate. I can fully understand why many Kent towns put up the UKIP posters last election as there has been an influx of people settling there from other countries and there is no infrastructure to support the increased population
The UK is one big shop with opportunities for all its been designed that way by power
Currently it's Islam who are all wrong in the eyes of the British
I can't think of many religions that haven't got massive errors in them
God was used in our defence when the USA and us kicked the **** out of people's lives in the Middle East simply because we need chaos there to tip the balance in our favour to power the shop of fat cats and make our lives in the UK perfect and easy
In one way or another we are all racists inside our heads
I admire that people in the UK want to hold onto a heritage however it's time to wake up and see that was sold off a long time ago
What is left is hot air and individuals who simply can't agree with themselves and focus on what to buy next

What shall we do? Move some of the banking sector to Stoke, Sunderland and Dundee or just get everyone who earns more than £50k to write a cheque and give it to a northerner?
You could impose a more punitive tax system but it would likely be counter-productive.

Everything is up for sale on our island shop. You cannot blame anyone form the north or other parts of the UK looking at this because it is very wrong
You cannot in turn blame other people in the world looking at the UK and seeing paradise it's human nature…. we are swimming in greed and I am proud that have attempted to combat this… that is all anyone can do its out of control.
I believe that people must look at their work life balance for a start … so many people are trapped in the UK by debt. yet still the illusion goes on and is accepted.
Of course nothing can be done and its very important for the powers of the UK to quell any sort of uprising in fact they want you to keep up with Jones couple that with fear currently the war on terror and link that with Islam you are all comfortably numb exactly how they want it.

I doubt anyone would disagree that it's a problem but it seems impossible to find a solution that is not going to cause even more problems. It's the price of having a "global" city I suppose.

You can't really tell people to have tried harder at school while continuing to post like a ******.
No system is perfect but capitalism is undoubtedly the best of a bad bunch. People like to paint the Tories as some evil bunch of elitists from Eton who piss on the poor but if they've won a majority of seats then plenty of regular folk must see them as the best party. It's a bit simplistic to label them as you have.

He does make some valid points Wats but in a haphazard manner. The biggest issue for me in the UK and I'm not pontificating from Madrid, is 'celebrityitis', no one wants to be a doctor, fireman, teacher, etc... anymore they just want to famous and have a sleeve tattoo and a ridiculous beard at 20 years old (generalising I know) but you get my drift.

Apologies how the stuff comes out but it's in there and I am rarely able to get my thoughts onto paper in any form

I feel passionately that my sons have little chance of buying a house thankfully they see it for what it is I think . I have skipped between two cultures in 35 years France and the UK cultures have changed but we have a list a lot in the UK IMO and it's irretrievable and greed has a lot to do with that IMO
French friends 35 years ago couldn't understand why we fall into debt at such an young age with mortgages for example
So here we are with the elite having their lives mapped out as is the person born in an average council estate ... Yes they have opportunities but it's a lot harder and on top of that you have stiff, brighter and harder working imports
