regardless of where we finish these are some of the things I'd like to see...this won't be the total answer but just a start.

1)I'd ask for permission to talk to David Moyles...i really think his achievements with Everton are outstanding. 3 or 4 top 5/6 finishes and 3 or 4 top7/8 finishes, a top 4 finish and a cup final while selling his best players and getting the best from those he uncovers/buys by solid coaching.
I think he could produce a very attacking side with defensive organisation and character to dig in.

2) I'd let it be know that the Modric is available at £40m.

3)if we cant sell Bentley, Dos Santos, Gomes and possibly Jenas (am unsure on this) I'd pay off their contracts.

4) I'd ask Ledley King and Gallas to be a coaches at the club.

5) I'd sell Defoe, let saha, nelson and cudicini go.

6) If anyone offers £40m plus for Bale sell him.

7) Bring Caulker back to partner Dawson/ Kaboul.

8) We'd need a keeper so I'd ask about the Swansea keeper

9) I'd bring Pinaer

10) but I have no idea who could play up front for us (who we would realistically get)

The majority of the personnel aren't the problem (other than the bleedin' obvious...... well obvious to everybody but Harry) but I just can't fathom what the hell the players do in training. So basically just change the pretty much the entire coaching staff...... Harry and his out-of-date hangers on. And start making sure our scouts are doing the job they are paid to do (though kudos to the one who said Suarez wasn't good enough. He was right and the baggage with that troglodyte is just horrendous).

On the one hand it could be argued that Moyes would have us standing still, but if standing still means finishing top four because we finish a season in May rather than when our manager flutters his eyelashes at the FA with two months to go, I'm all for it.

It's likely we'd get a fee for Gomes and Dos Santos, but we'd be taking a bath on Bentley and, to a lesser extend, Jenas anyway. Cash plus add-ons for Bentley, so we get some cash, but could make some more down the line.

4) I'd ask Ledley King and Gallas to be a coaches at the club.

Ledley will likely be an Ambassador at the least, but coaching is a possibility. The same can be said for Nelsen.

5) I'd sell Defoe, let saha, nelson and cudicini go.

Keep Cudicini for one more season, not least to work with the youngsters - besides, with Gomes going we need an understudy. Nelsen could be a useful utility defender, as well as player-coach to help develop the youngsters.

Again, add once digit.

I agree with this, but we'd still need one, if not two, centre backs - having just three is asking for trouble.

I'm personally not convinced by Vorm still - he's a good keeper, but his distribution is suspect.

We need understudies anyway, and Pienaar can perform across midfield - which involves him playing occasionally.

Remy? Leandro? Wolfswinkle? Sow?

1) We need a manager who will change the club mentality and make us tougher, more resilient instead of the soft center we can't seem to shift when it's crunch time.
2) Moyes has proved year after year, he can get the best out of players and over achieve on a shoe string budget. Music to Daniel Levy's ears!
3) He's a stayer and not the type of manager to always be seeking the limelight, flirting with the press or talking of other jobs. It's also unlikely he will bugger off to manage Scotland or any other poisoned chalice as he has more common sense.
4) He always seems to get the players respect and get's them motivated.
5) Always spots good talent and good buys and doesn't flash the cash just for the sake of it. A shrewd buyer.
6) Sticks to his principles and doesn't start shoving square pegs in round holes
7) Mentally strong enough to stand up to the task against anyone

He's my choice over the other names being touted, especially Brendan Rodgers. Yes Swansea play a lovely brand of football but one season in the Premier League (with no European experience) isn't enough to make any judgement that deems him good enough for Spurs. Give him a few more years experience yet. Let's see how well Swansea do next season, now everyone knows what they are about.

At the very least, Moyes would toughen up our defence and get us working on our set pieces.

One thing to consider, though, is that Levy is the mover and shaker in regards to transfers - would Moyes be happy with this? After all, it's possible that there are several players Levy has already earmarked for this summer, and he has shown in the past he will operate above his manager or DoF to bring in players. It could be equally odd if we move quickly (which in itself is odd...) to bring in, for the sake of argument, Rasmus Elm and Jan Vertonghen, before Harry is confirmed as The Unfortunate Sod In The England Dugout 2012-4.

Levy would never have signed the likes of Scott Parker, Adebayor or Saha purely due to their age and/or wage demands. They were Redknapp signings through and through. Levy prefers younger signings who cost less and gain better net worth.

I think Moyes would have a much bigger say than you suggest.

Whilst Harry agreed to the deal, he pretty much said he was only aware of the deal when Levy called him.

If your chairman is choosing the players to sign, there is a problem.

When we had the DoF system, Levy gave them a proviso - first it was British talent from the lower leagues (i.e. Michael Dawson, Aaron Lennon, Tom Huddlestone), then it changed to young English talent in the top flight we could sell on (i.e. Michael Carrick), with the occasional marquee player (i.e. Modric, Van Der Vaart, the attempted signing or Arshavin)

In the case of Sandro, when he arrived Harry admitted he'd never seen him play and was trusting the scout's appraisal above anything else, and it would be safe to assume similar about some of the other South American players we're linked to of late (Julian Velazquez in particular - although the fact we loaned in Bruno Uvini and gave Christian Ramirez a trial implies Harry might want to watch the players that may be arriving)

It could easily be argued that when we sign players for the reserves or academy, such as Walker or Naughton for the former and Coulibaly or Ceballos for the latter, at some point Harry will make a decision on whether to bring them into the first team or sell them on, but his focus is entirely on the first team. I keep seeing this, how do you know out of interest? You could say Levy brings every player in. In VdV's case its a well documented fact that Levy rang Harry 4pm'ish to let him know VdV was available and ask his thoughts. Surely that would have been as a result of VdV's agent contacting Spurs first (which is normal procedure), on the last day of that TW. Levy would have been busy with a variety of deals that day, so how does that constitute getting him in over Harry's head?

Not entirely convinced by Moyes, or Moyles as you call him. I'll admit that he is probably the leading realistic candidate, but I still have doubts about some of his methods, for example his Everton teams for the last few seasons have only started playing around Christmas, and we won't get Champions League football like that.

I think we must

1. Change everything, because players and or managers that play/manage elsewhere will certainly be better than anything we can more closely assess in our own team.

2. Ignore any good things that the players and manager did to get us to 3rd spot in the PL in the first place. Things that go well must be discounted.

3. Base our assessment and future strategy completely on the relatively few admittedly awful games toward the end of the season, assuming that the majority of good games were the exception rather than the few awful ones. We must also believe that we deserve to lose all the games we actually dominated and were unlucky to lose.

4. We must accept that all the many bad refereeing decisions that went against us all happened in games we were going to lose anyway, so didn't make any difference. Do I need to specify how many of these there were and how many extra points we should have had? Nevertheless, in glass half empty world all this is deserved.

People, I too am not happy about how things have gone, but really think that there has been a massive overreaction. I am not claiming that there have not been a lot of good ideas here, but would suggest that many of these go too far and are actually dismantling a lot of the factors that led to us having an excellent first two thirds of the season.
