Yeah. This January is huge for us! We either kick on or go backwards/stuck in midtable for god knows how long. If we can just hold on until January and still be in the mix I would be very happy. If Brendad gets us to January in shape then he deserves credit. Then its over to the owners to their bit.
As Billy says - we need to get the transfers spot on this time. 2-3 players who can come in and slot straight into the first team and really contribute. And the league seems to be a lot tougher now - we're only 4 points off top 4 which shows you that all teams are dropping points. What really pleases me about this season is the team spirit when we go a goal down. I don't have the exact stats but we seem to come back from losing positions). Under Kenny last season, once we went a goal down, heads would drop and we would certainly go onto lose the game. This is the spirit that champions need and you can see it in teams like Man Utd except they have that extra quality to turn possible defeats into wins. At the moment, we only have the quality to turn defeats into draws (bar yesterday).
I am a fan of Walcott. A hugely underrated player! I believe he is Arsenals top scorer this season and he got the most assists last season if memory serves. Despite the stats though I am not sure about him being the "goal scorer" that we need, but he would give our team something extra I am sure and he would provide his fair share of goals. A goal scoring Sterling like player maybe?
