No disrespect intended here Royston but your post quoted above - and the somewhat dramatic re-naming of this thread - has a number of us genuinely concerned I think, despite the crying smiley which suggests we might be having our legs pulled. There has been a fair amount of fishing, wind-ups and general silliness going on this last week or so, and I'll admit I'm now not sure what to take as a joke and what to believe at (more or less) face value. I was concerned enough to go and check through Elf's most recent posts on CL, and unless I missed something I cannot find any reference to this 'warning off' you speak of. Are you referring to something that has been posted on that thread about you and Elfs on ITTV which led to the creation of the "Royston & Elfs" thread here on not606? I don't mind some harmless fun and games, but what you have suggested would go beyond that if there is any truth in it. So are we having our chains pulled just a little bit here?

It occurred to me yesterday evening that the only people who might be able to 'warn' anybody off posting on forums would be the police, if an individual had been banned from forums or the internet generally by some kind of judicial decision. Elfs might be a bit eccentric in some of the things he posts, but I can't believe he has actually fallen foul of the law yet. So on with the fun and games bearing in mind that once most folks have had their legs pulled enough times, they won't take anything seriously. By the way, I can't log on to ITTV this morning! Not a ban, but a Proboards error message when I click the log-in button. The site is still viewable by guests. Conspiracy?
