I have just checked, it's the weekend after Easter and there's a Travelodge in Watford!

So Brighton at home to get things started. I discovered a couple of weeks ago that I have a distant family link to the man who brought Brighton into existence. Chairman and treasurer when they were still an amateur side, and he finished up being investigated by the FA. <yikes>

Season end looks a bit challenging if we need any points!

  7. I suspect, family duties permitting, Yorkie will be one of the very few on here who's happy with the Boxing Day fixture. Poor choice in my humble opinion.

End of season looks like a nightmare! Still, another guaranteed 3PM home game to start the season so have to be happy with that as a fuddy dudy old traditionalist :)

Hopefully both be doing well by then..

It is the same weekend as the FA Cup semi finals though...

Tough games for us after that with Arsenal and Man City.

Looks like a decent start to collect points with.

Shame a couple of the closer games like Leicester and Villa are mid-week.

Three of the four away games I really wanted to get to - Leicester, Villa, Sheffield Utd.... all scuppered :headbang::headbang::headbang::emoticon-0183-swear:emoticon-0183-swear:emoticon-0183-swear:emoticon-0183-swear:emoticon-0183-swear:emoticon-0121-angry:emoticon-0121-angry:emoticon-0121-angry:emoticon-0121-angry:emoticon-0121-angry:emoticon-0121-angry:emoticon-0121-angry:emoticon-0121-angry
...and the doggies at home on NYD, well, saves me an awkward journey I guess. Not happy at all.

i was hoping to get to Spurs away but i'll be away on 19th...bummer! Boxing day may be a problem, might have to break with Boxing Day traditions, not sure that's going to go down too well with the family! I imagine the New Years day game will get moved for TV and probably end up when everyone has finished with festivities like this year. Hopefully not! Though having said that, there will be more games on TV this season so there will be a lot moved i suspect.

In France we have a short winter break when there is no football. I see that one will be in operation in England, but it will be split so that TV still has something to show. The result is that clubs will have their fixtures sorted out by TV companies which could be unfair if for example one club had injured players given an extra week to get fit. Treat everyone the same I think and surely people can manage one weekend with no games.

3 of first 4 games should be winnable to get us off to a good start.

What is the point of the mid season break, not much of a break, should be a month.

I was hoping to go to the game at Norwich - I have an uncle and aunt there who live about 10 - 15 minutes walk from Carrow Road. The problem is I'm in Mexico!
