I go away for a couple of days and its all doom for LFC, Is BR good enough?; a c*ck measuring contest with United to see who has the worst set of pond life that turns up with the rest of the real fans....oh wait that's exactly what was happening last week, my bad. Carry On!

Sheesh: I was sitting in Berlin yesterday in what turned out to be a predominately United pub with a gaggle of United supporters with the worst stag induced hangover from hell and I still apparently didn't feel as bad as some on here lol!

So lets look at this a moment, I'll ignore the "bad luck" refs robbing us stuff because that will even out over a season.

We've picked up a few injuries to key players. **** happens. Lucas for example. This happened last year. Difference this year? Someone that can replace him in Allen. Point to BR then.

We're not scoring goals? Same as last year except its very young players at the good end of their career rather than old players at the end of the career. Can only improve right? No? Then we look like we did last year, owners will have to cough up or look silly at end of year.

We've played five games so far in a league that no one on here truly though we'd get higher than 5-6 right this year? 3 of those games were against 3 of the probable top 4 and came away with a point. Space those games out any other season and we wouldn't even blink.

We didn't beat 2 teams we think we should do. Why? We've been doing that for the last twenty years, it cost us a title under RB so what are we saying: without throwing money at it, relieving ourselves of deadwood & drastically reducing the age of the squad We are doing no worse than before. It's just all squished into the first five games.

So far I've watched us play some good football. Yes it's been error strewn but I expected that. I remember a thread predicting exactly the position we are in now after 5 games & I seem to remember a lot of people saying it was a no lose situation with the fixtures and transition so Why has that changed?

Where has our bottle gone? So those of us who hate the owners, still hate the owners, MFG still hates BR, the same wums are predicted our demise for yet another year and we still seem to have some colleagues with very itchy/nervous panic button fingers.

I do like a bit of continuity at a club. Key to success that. I'll continue being optimistic, do my bit.:)

    My thoughts precisely.

Liverpool have been on top in games against both Manchester Clubs and were unlucky not to win both, they've had a couple of dodgy performances other than that, but BR took on a project, not the finished article. If Liverpool played like they are and won matches, every scouser in the world who didn't support Everton, or Man Utd , would be exploding with happiness right now.

I only judge a start when you've played everyone, because let's face it you have your "must win", "must not lose" and "defo will lose games" each year, and the order is rarely kind. Look at Southampton's fixtures...

Why are people acting like there's 35 games gone, rather than just 5?

They should have beaten Sunderland as well. It was Arsenal and WBA who deserved to beat us.
