thats fine and good... its entirely down to the managers next actions, if borini is out it improver sus in general play but agger is out which is huge. there is a team the manager could play and probaby a few tactical alterations too... if rodgers does the right things we can get by but we have hardly scored from play and don't look like getting any bodies in the box.. this si why i say we need to improve an awful lot... unfortunately theres a chace rodgers could do the wrong things and stick with players who aren't up to it and we could be in as bad a muddle as under hodgson.

I think confidence is hard to make and easy to lose, under hodgson we'd win and tlak big then play rubbihs and lose and be back to square one. gerrard has said we're inconsistent and right now we raise out game for big games and have played badly in the games we need to win... if we don't win in the next 2/3 games we're in bad trouble.

Got to be honest pal, I've read your comments on this board and thought f*8K you tell it like it is. Like thousands of others I watched '' the programme '' and was intrigued by the Red Sox part. The commentator was trying to gloss over what a disaster of a season they were having and it led me to think that if you have two , and take it as it's meant, problem situations. If and it's a big if , things continue as they are which one are you going to invest in and protect? One that you can be close to or one that you rely on for others to run on your behalf? I really think this is a dangerous time for 'pool and hope that this isn't the start of the decline of a footballing instituition !

Top 4 will be Man u, Mancity, Arsenal and Chelsea. Then I think there will be a big gap to Spurs, Newcastle, Everton and us. Can't see anyone other than these finishing above us so I'd say we'll be anywhere between 5th and 8th.

I'd be happy with top half atm.

I havent made a decision on just what level of crisis this run could go.

You have one player in your entire squad who may expect to score 10+ premier league goals, and that is assuming Share stays fit.

And then there is Gerrard who you would hope could get somewhere near double figures, and him staying fit for 10 months is a big ask.

    After that...

    Nothing. No-one.

You are in the **** big time.

One game at a time. Norwich away will be difficult and are a major rival for Liverpool this season so will be up for the game.

Don't think Everton will be too far off the top four - they are by far the best team to visit the Liberty Stadium.

Didn't outplay us. Didn't play us at all.

You did have the ball more than them, but that is not the aim of the game.

Putting the ball in the net more often than your opponent is.

    And as I said, you're in the **** .

Norwich have the worst chance conversion in the league. Has got to be 3 points the next game.

    What is the aim?
The aim is to win the Premier League- until such a point occurs where that is no longer mathematically feasible. To do so- you aim to win every game between now and the end of the season.

Realistically- we're not even going to be close. The top 4 isn't even realistic. I think our best change of European football next season is the win the Euro-pa. Realistically I think most of us would take a top 10 finish. We've had a terrible start- the glass shattered in our transfer window and we have inconvenient key injuries. Add to that, our best players from previous seasons are a little long in the tooth and not up to snuff (besides Gerrard's annual over-achievement against United) and it is a bleak picture.

We do have some great youth players though- and I think we will only get better as the season progresses. I'm confident we can finish top 10- but we really need to kick into gear sooner rather than later to achieve that.

All that said, I reiterate- the aim is still to win the Premier League by winning every game left... maybe it's a futile aim- but it's worthwhile to try.

****in hell....Bit of positivity please.....Now is not the time for being completely negative.....that time will come in a few weeks if we fail to get some results against Norwich (A), Stoke (H) and then Reading.

I believe 7 out of the 9 points on offer is the bare minimum or we can start talking crisis.....But til then lets just see what happens.......There is a good buzz in the suad even after the poor start we have had, that has to be a good thing!
