Again, he says what he wants people to hear. An offer was never made because the council said no flat out at the time. They just wanted to piss him off and that they did. Things have changed a lot since then though.
I'd just like to add that the "Promotion Party" at the KC a few days after the Cardiff game was the saddest, most spiteful, most self-defeating, most ill-thought out, most alienating, most ill-judged and most childish gesture it's been my misfortune to witness in a Hull City context. It should have been a night of triumph for an entire region, an excuse to line the streets, hang out the flags and re-assert our primacy in this city. Promotion parties to the Premier League don't happen too often, and the club monumentally blew the occasion in the eyes of the city, Instead we got a weak little token lap of honour in front of 6,000 or so dieheards
Loved last season, looked forward to every game. This season I feel disenfranchised, the pre match excitement that usually starts 3 days before a game has not kicked in until I'm in Walton St. It must be like a devout Christian being told that god doesn't love him any more.

Oh christ, what have you said? Batten down the hatches and stick your tin helmet on Pennine. You could be heading for stormy waters.
Enjoying this season far more. Last season was nail biting wondering if we'd maintain our progress and wondering if we'd get promotion. This season I feel quite comfy in our league position, we're playing the best football I can remember, and the atmosphere at the KC is the best I can remember. Any clouds have silver linings.
We're divided behind the team. Some fans see fit to suggest that certain Hull City songs shouldn't be sung in case someone else gets upset. Indeed, it seems some fans even get upset. How does a Hull City song at a Hull City match cause bother? It's like some support other people more than the team. It's not what you'd call a united support, all focused in one direction, it's in pieces and factions. Why is that?
The atmosphere at the KC is absolute rubbish. The amount of people who sit there like they are at the theatre is embarrassing. Virtually every game we are outsung by away fans. You only have to look at the crowd to see why. A couple of thousand away fans and they have more stood up singing than we do. Still, what does it matter if people can sit there and drool over all the big stars? As long as their view isn't spoilt for 2 seconds by some hooligans upset about the throwing away of over 100 years of history and tradition, the poor dears.
I'm enjoying this season more and here's why; The pies are better. My blanket is warmer and cosier than last seasons and I've upgraded my flask. Just wish the people near me would stay sat down and stop swearing, is there any need? I've also got to see Stevie G.
Doesn't cast a shadow in my opinion. The football on the pitch is good, name shortening or not, it doesn't make a jot of difference to the actual football, which is what we all go to watch.
