Enjoying this season, don't think the off-the-field stuff is affecting the team whatsoever in fact it has boosted the atmosphere at games and got fans singing.

Matchdays this season have been the best I can remember for years.

Our current team are ace. We're holding our own against the top sides in the country and at this level, the refs don't spoil it nearly as often as they do in the Championship. Stoke was the first game this season where I've left pissed off. And even that was a reasonable result. Pretty much everyone in our squad is a decent player but they also seem like good people. They seem to really care about our team.

Of course, the owner doesn't but that isn't affecting matchdays for me and in fact the improvement to the atmosphere it's caused is most welcome.

Some sympathy with your viewpoint. But we should keep posting to make sure that the silent majority have a least some voice.

The majority of the "hate the owners club" you refer to are either for or indifferent to the name change.

What is happening in the stands that could bother anybody? I presume you don't go to don't go to matches as going out after dark is too scary.

Make sure you do, the purpose of a forum is to have a debate and express opinions, people will challenge something they don't agree with, but that's par for the course.

There's a minority of idiots (some pro-name change and some against) that derail these threads and cause them to descend into petty arguments. But on the whole people want to read other fans opinions regardless of their stance on the subject.

He acknowledged the only way for the club to go forward and be self sufficient was to own the stadium.

That was once an obstacle, but he can have it as soon as he wants now and chooses not to. His only reasoning is that he doesn't like Terry Geraghty. He's right about Geraghty, but he's putting his personal spat ahead of the club and holding it back in the process. He doesn't care enough to put that to one side and get the situation sorted.

Doesn't that situation prove that he doesn't care that much? To me it confirms we need rid of him.

You just believe what you want to believe.

"“If an offer comes in for the KC Stadium then I will put it to a referendum and see what the people of Hull have to say about it.

“Everyone is entitled to an opinion on this.
    http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Brady-hits-Allam-KC-criticism/story-18913799-detail/story.html

Thats from Brady not Geraghty. They cant/won and never would sell the stadium to Allam or anyone else. Hull Fair is protected as well. A referendum!! In this town to sell the KC to a "football" team. No ****ing chance.

Of course there is, I don't know of anyone who doesn't wish the name change nonsense wasn't happening.

I agree we wouldn't get it through a referendum.

But it wouldn't need that. I know for a fact he can get it now if he wants it. The council have made him aware of this and the ball is firmly in his court. Well it would be except he's emphatically cleared it away on several occasions with his blunt refusals.

He says he's so adamant that Geraghty is corrupt that he's asked the council to investigate him on the understanding that if he's wrong, he'll donate 100k to a local charity of the council's choice. If that's true and not just another soundbite he should have shouted about that to the media at the time instead of shouting that we're all hooligans.

I know several people high up at both the club and one at Allam Marine. The one at Allam Marine, who also briefly worked at City when Allam first took over and didn't trust the 'corrupt' employees who were already here, is completely brainwashed pro-Allam. We've discussed the name change and he says some things almost as ridiculous as the arguments in favour of it posted on here. Things like "Well we're not telling the fans to call it that. You can still call it what you want." This guy seems to be Allam's right-hand man apart from Ehab of course.

Anyway the point is, all of these people, the ones at City but also the one who loves everything about Allam and vice versa, all confirm that he's been offered it by the council several times. The Jonny Whitely fiasco, the ongoing maintenance disputes at the stadium, the fact it makes a loss for the council because the rent deal is so poor for them all mean it's just a waste of their time and money. They don't want it or need it and have offered it to Allam several times. It's not even that far from the public domain. Burnsy knows and he's hinted towards it a few times on air recently.

I don't understand why this angers you  You try to make out I'm biased but when Allam is seriously questioned you're going mad. Every 2nd word is a swear.

Bit different when the swearing is about Allam though.

No facts just gossip. Brady has said in the press they will not make a decision it would go to a referendum. Your making out as though the council are going to give it away. Geraghty met with Allam and went there to say no to him. Thats documented.
If Brady wanted it he could offer it in the press but he wont.
Your i know someone who knows is garbage as usual. Bit like the we arent buying any Egyptians fact you had.

You know full well that a politician in a newspaper says what he wants people to here. Everyone acknowledged at the time it was just a daft soundbite. It'd be a waste of money organising a referendum. He's as bad as Allam for it. Geraghty never discussed it properly with Allam, that's partly why Allam hates him so much. He went there with the intention of being a dick and that's what he did.

The Egyptians thing was from Ash Lord. It was a fact at the time, SB didn't want them. Things changed when Elmo got recalled and we wanted Fathi as a replacement. Gedo got thrown is as part of the deal. We never even went in for him. Only thing I learnt from that was not to post transfer info as facts because things change so quickly. I've made that point since too.

Last season was very odd culminating in the oddest day of my City supporting life. I was comfortably numb when it got to 2-2 v Cardiff, what a rollercoaster of an afternoon.

This season has been blighted by the name change ****, but apart from that, it's been a revelation to the point where we are almost unobtrusively tucked away in the middle (exactly where we need to be)- Steve Bruce has done a superb job in wringing the best out of a group of players who by rights should be down at the bottom with SAFC.

(I can't believe the group has been so expensive to assemble and maintain!)

The satisfaction at this level is way different to the other leagues, where you can hammer teams and outplay them. At this level, it's like chess, or cat and mouse- the margins are much tighter, the stakes are much higher. Relaxing it is not.

It is radically different 'enjoyment' to what most of us have known in previous decades. Less 'fun' but much more satisfying because it is so much more demanding and challenging that any wins are that much more treasured and relished.

I spoke to Brady about the issue and he confirmed that Allam has never made an offer for the KC so the council can't be blamed on that front until he does and it is rejected.
