I'm starting to think I'm watching different games to some others. We played some cracking football yesterday. And were the much better team for large portions of it. A bit better rub of the green and it could have been oh so different. A couple of reffing decisions and individual errors changed the game. Is it perfect? By no means! Is it getting better on a regular basis. Yes! Am I surprised that MON doesn't play 2 up top for teams outside the top 6? Yes! Can I see it getting better still after another window, and MON finds a couple more ROUND pegs for ROUND holes? Yes! Can I see the makings of a team now, that wasn't there under Bruce? Bloody big yes. And yes I can see areas where we need to improve massively, like going for the jugular before we go behind. Watched MOTD again this morning with my son who went straight from the match onto the piss last night. He was disappointed with the loss but was more optimistic about the way we played. When I said Rose would be a good signing for us when he was touted the boy totally disagreed with me. Rose has won him round big time, he was again one of our best players he said along with Bardsley. He was a big fan of Colback who I was saying was getting out muscled, he used to defend him. But now reckons he should be dropped. Just watched Liverpool. in a 0-0 draw. Rodgers is putting out some weird teams. Downing LB and their LB on the wing hahaha. Liverpool chopping and changing managers could be the worst thing they have done in years.
Nothing will be worse than the 15 pointer for me. Even the 3rd division. At least we could hide a little bit, Take Man C for example. Bigclub in the 3rd but nobody really gave a ****. Nowhere to hide in the prem. So much coverage. Anyway, (not much compensation) at least the Mags are getting pissed off with their lot (1 down by the way)
Spot on - I hear some idiots booing (ffs its counter productive) and it reminds me of a about 14 years ago when we were playing Chalton and the two guys in front of me in the east stand were wingeing on and one said to the other "f****ng typical Sunderland - they get Clive Mendonca and we get Kevin f****ng Phillips". I often wonder if these lads are still there and booing
