I think you're too polite. He never once looked back before passing and was not under pressure - that's nothing but poor skills. Awareness would be that he never saw the guy run onto the pass as he kicked it to the keeper, and not that he passed it straight to him without him looking.

Exactly fella, he didn't look at all (awareness) and he rushed his pass when he was under no pressure (composure) If he had both would already be aware of the people around him, his head would have been up and he would have allotted himself the time he had to pick a pass. His head was down, he didn't have a clue where people were and he panicked.

You need composure and awareness to play that position under this system. Breaking up play isn't enough. He needs to improve quickly.

The bad pass came as a result of the two former, which shows you need as much awareness and composure as you do passing ability to play this style.

Just re-post this for you fella.<ok>

We can't go direct, we don't have any natural wingers to hit the byline so we can't go direct down the flanks, Jozy and fletch aren't the sort of players you can play direct to down the middle. It can't be an option, at least with the Giacc, Borini and AJ front three we can still play the way we do, and we have the pace to play on the counter should we be forced deep (Something we can't do with flatch or jozy leading the line.

Hope Bridcutt settles quickly and is up to performing error free.
