I might take some backlash for my comments but I needed to get it off my chest. How on earth are the governing bodies of English football allowing a break for a Leicester City player to break his Ramadan fast in the middle of a game in progress? Hasn't he heard of the half-time break which to me is the perfect time for him to do his religious duty or is there something else going on here? I fully respect his beliefs but is it only a matter of time before we get confession boxes on the touchline so that all naughty players can get absolution?
I can't remember at any time during my long association with the rules of football ever seeing a clause on religion being part of the game but today's seeming obsession with political correctness is starting to become sickening.
