    thats a different arguement though?

Playing him first choice v keeping him as squad player

Of course keep him if no replacement is due. I am seeing at least 10/15 games he should be playing this season alone.. same for mr toure and mr ings.

Luca may not be the best we hope for, but have good manners, never put the club into disrepute.

This is the point I've been making on and off for years. Of course we can look at our individual players and find better elsewhere- even Suarez could have been improved on in fantasy football world.
In the real world, for a number of reasons, we have to go with "second level " players. Used right they can become an effective unit which might then bring us enough success to improve upon them. Other than that, nothing but a sugar-daddy is going to give us the chance to assemble the sort of team we see in the ones above us and constantly being envious of them gets us nowhere.
Constantly comparing individuals with those above is pointless.

  6. Its not a different argument at all. We'd replace our best player (Coutinho) if we had the opportunity of bringing in a better player! As I said, feel free to play FF all you like, I'll stick to the squad we've actually got <ok>

nah.. its different... has to be.

on the one hand debating if lucas should play in our first 11 and on the other hand debating keeping him to sit on bench and play 10/15 games.

also its not fantasy football its REALITY. every team seeks to improve and those that don't regress. if you sit still you can have a mare. look at poor cheslea.. they sat still and have not started well have thye.. inject some pedro in to the mix and they freshen up.

same all over the place clubs seek to improve.

This argument is not about FF as we've done all our improving in areas that were worse off by far. its about keeping lucas as a squaddie as we will be light for options if we don't. as such to me its a no brainer. letting him go without someone coming would be lunacy.

Saying suddenly he should be first pick is an entirely different conversation. One i don't agree with.

  8. Suddenly? <laugh>

So seven signings isn't enough? And you claim is not FF too?

To an oldie like me, who's never bothered with such things, fantasy football describes about half of the comments on here.
Too often I read the club berated because it didn't just "go out and get" somebody's favourite player or other, like it's all that simple.
To me, some of the signings people think we should make often show little awareness of the real world and the difficulties involved.

I said clearly we improved other areas.

I'll give you the fact you are not suddenly saying it.. though you don't bother to wave the flag much.... some are after one game though.

My point is valid.. ALL teams seek to improve constantly and you can't keep the same squad and not fall behind.
