The offer is amazing, £1 but he would keep the training ground and stadium, cheers mate but I think even the EFL know accepting would be suicide...don’t they?

he wouldnt shut it down. he's too deluded to think that clearly. he'll cling to his £70m price tag till he dies. or till he works out that taking £30m now is better than keeping us and never getting £70m.

If we sort out boycotting ST's like blackpool, he'll spend that £30m in 30 months. you can tell he's desperate now, i honestly think pressuring him moneywise is the solution.

he will have to take a hit and realise that it was meire and driesen who have lost him his money.

Why does the Belgian want to sell the Club for £1 …. simples.... this would leave him with the property assets which he values at least £70m for development potential …. the running costs of CAFC would be removed to be replace with rental income of say £50k per month also the costs of closing down CAFC would be removed say about £10m one off cost …

So the 'poison pill' for anybody buying the Football Club is the annual running costs, dispose of the Club and a Property Company would (without doubt) give the Belgian at least the £70m he wants for the Club.

If he could sell the property assets for say £80m he could then pay off the existing Director's £10m loans which are linked to the property assets.

Rick Everitt has done a very good explanation a while ago, I will dig it out.
Roland won't have read it though. Remember he did his own due diligence, and has placed a high value on the land because he must be assuming that there would be no problem making a shed-load out of it one way or another. And there is nobody to tell him otherwise as he sits in Belgium relying on sycophants and yes-men for his information. Who knows how he'll react when he eventually comes face to face with reality.

A major concern.

Why not?... He is only interested in getting his money back.

Everitt is full of sh1t, but he says that Sparrows Lane is protected by planning laws from development, thus making the land pretty worthless. He has oft repeated his claims about the value of the land at the Valley, in terms of planning issues with access for any potential new developments.

As a defeated ex Councillor in Ramsgate, he knows a lot about electoral defeat and planning.

I've just lost a lot of respect for Steve Gallen if he's prepared to work under these conditions.

Its an absolutely farcical and untenable state of affairs.

What does the EFL think about it ?

Bowyer - a guy capped as a player by England - having to take advice on players from a Belgium geek who knocks one out over his Playstation.

El Turkey has finally come clean in admitting that Roland will not drop his asking price. All he needs to do now is tell us what that price is, so everyone except Jim White can see how bonkers he is. Not surprisingly Driesen has defenders on ITTV.

Jeddez is an absolute abomination.

I would ban him from the Valley for life under the next owner. Having a different opinion is one thing, but to carry on blatanty goading people with pro-Duchatelet comments even in the light of this new evidence, is pathetic. In Bert's craven world, all that matters is that Duchatelet pays the leccy bill on time. Is he now claiming that we are better off than fellow basket case Blackpool, because we are in the Play Off positions and they are not.

FFS <doh>

Are we in a better or worse position than Bolton? They may have to postpone their home game on Saturday because they can not afford the stewarding. They have not paid their players and have not paid the local Police Bill... this would probably have no effect on L1 if they are relegated because of administration but they may start next season with a big points deduction.
