Hearing Bowyer say that he has heard nothing started ringing bells. I asked my mate who said he had heard there is something happening but it is nowhere near completed yet. I feel that White has jumped the gun. I hope I am wrong.
I know he was unequivocal. We have been here before though. The staff at Charlton believe it is happening. I am going to the training ground today if I see or hear anything I will report back.
Interesting that the highly credible ex Dire tor with a charge on the club who posts elsewhere is also saying he has heard nothing.
Apparently Jim White is still confident, predicting a 'big meeting' tonight. Let's be honest, it could well go ahead without everyone who wants to be ITK actually being so. Just because the usual suspects haven't heard anything doesn't make it another silly rumour. It's just another day at the Valley. To be honest I'm waiting for Dick Plumb, who seems unlikely to be swept off his feet by the fairy dust of anoter takeover rumour.
I don't know if this affects anything one way or the other - he basically just seemed to say that he jumped the gun a bit and based his 'news' on bits of rumour including something from Airman Brown, which when he checked, was nothing more than heresay, so he had to retract. Probably the right thing to do, nothing more than that.
According to 1978sussex on ITTV, Jim White has now said there is a "crucial meeting" tonight. A meeting to discuss what? I thought the deal was done and an announcement was what we were waiting for. It's all double-talk and nonsense. Just another wind-up. By the end of this week it is very likely that Jim White will have no more credibility regarding the future of CAFC than Rick Everitt. (EDIT) Apologies to Mystic Shabbs, who has already mentioned the meeting. I didn't spot his post.
completely false dawn by all accounts. jim white has backtracked to say there is talks today. gutted. absolutely gutted.
A lot of anger being directed at Jim White on social media now, he must have skid marks in his underpants after that U turn.
