The new owners will NOT be Scott Farquar or Mike Cannon - Brookes. That was a joke started by Ben Hayes on CL. Dr Kish has now taken the article down.
5hit.... so that chancer Murphy could still be involved? … I would trust Murphy less than Jiminez …. Elf could be right about fireplace and fire!
We could end up with Murphy & Muir with American venture capital (a la Sisu) running the Club we loved what an improvement that would be?
I'm no longer worried about who owns the Club. Do we still have a ground and a team? Yes. That's good enough for me. Everything else is vanity.
Can’t have a joke being associated with Ben Hayes , he is one of the most dull and dreary blokes ever to wear a cardigan
I think we all need to take a deep breath and wait to see what materialises. Getting rid of this lot is a good thing BUT that is not to say we are being sold to good hands.
Had a drink with my mate Dave the Bass, whose wife works in h&s. She was told by Mick Everitt before Christmas that the takeover was likely to go ahead very quickly.
Even though I have absolutely no idea who any of them are, I have e mailed the club to say that I want to be seen to be best friends with the new management team and senior staff within the first week. I will use my 3 different user names on the 3 different forums to extol their virtues, as well as my two Twitter accounts of course. I must be seen to be important and to remain at the centre of attention after the takeover.
I am lead to believe that Management at the Club know where you sit and will seek swift retribution (for your nasty comments about them) after the takeover happens this is from a very unreliable source however!
I accept not everybody may put great store by what he posts, but Angeldust has just said on ITTV that he has nothing new to offer. He says he thinks the latest take-over speculation is just more agenda-pushing. That is clearly at odds with what Jim White has been saying. I must admit I have my doubts about Jim White. Even if he is proven wrong about next week, he will probably just say that circumstances have changed at the last minute - if he bothers to say anything at all. I don't think Jim White would be bothered at all if he is wrong. Nobody except Charlton fans will think any less of him, and most of the football stories he covers are at a much higher level than League One. Hardly any of his radio audience cares what goes on in the lower leagues, and I'm surprised White has put as much effort into this whole RD interview business as he has.
