But back on topic...Lampard is still not worthy of 100 caps.
There was a time when only the golden few (Moore, charlatan,Shilton etc ) would reach that milestone now its any buggers providing they can stay fit their in!

Ah Woy! That brings back memories of why we hated you so much! Can't play for anything but a draw away.

Fact is he never went for it. 10mins to go, clear that Ukraine were contained, why not be more adventurous? Because Woy is Mr. Safe and happy to draw and even when losing he still sees it a playing well (despite losing)
Only 2 chances against Ukraine, never going to score.

Hodgson always was the worst possible option for England. Boring, staid he looks like a clueless ****er stood on the sidelines, rubbing his chin. Where's the passion and direction?

Should have given it to Rafa..at least we would have been organised.
We need fresh blood, Gerrard and Lampard together never has nor never will work. Cleverly is little more than a decent club player. Young is atrocious. Lambert was shown up to be what he is ( not knocking him but he's not international quality) and to make it worse we went long ball nearly all game.
Ashley cole looks to be coming to the end of his international career. Rather see Baines there.

    CB's did ok. Wilshire l
Has the potential but looked off the pace. Walcott the same. Maybe with Sturridge,Rooney and Welbeck (can't believe I'm saying that) we may look more of a threat.

If Rafa was England manager they would win the World Cup no problem.

Lamp add is only as good as the players around him, for years Chelsea have had quality strikers, wingers and defenders to donthendirty work, all he has to do is smash it in from six yards out.

Gerrard has been our main target for ten years now, and the majority of the time, our best player.

England don't have he luxury of quality players in every position so Lampard having to do a task always ends the same, with average performances.

Can't believe some of what I've just read! What is this - criticising the England Manager? Don't you know the man is a strategic genius - in is own head!!!

England were only well organised at the back. But even then security at the back meant that both Gerrard and Lampard had to play far too deep. Oh I nearly forgot, why did we play Walker at FB? He may have some pace but he has little intelligence and gets caught 'wrong-side' too often - he's a liability.

Then we have to consider the Arsenal players. Wilshire was a mess - could tackle, could pass, couldn't beat a man - a great all round exhibition! As for Walcott, the least said the better. You can't blame Lambert. Within his limitations he did well and Milner kept plugging away.

So a great draw was achived given that there was no true leadership from the manager and the Arsenal boys cocked-up!

Walcott, Walker, Milner and Lambert is what's wrong with English football - no intelligence, no finesse, strong, fast

To be fair, Gerrard's England career and performances pale in comparison to his club career just like Lampard's. The only time one has really shone for England in the past decade is when the other is not playing or out injured. It is the reason why there has been countless reports that the two cannot play together. Many England managers have tried and failed to put them together in a system that works. The best thing a manager could have done was drop one in favour of the other a few years ago when at their peak but all England managers have bottled it, deeming both "undroppable".

If the face rubbing half man half owl twat gets us to the World Cup, I do hope he plays a side similar to:

    ------------------------------ Hart
    - Johnson (Walker), Cahill, Jagielka, Cole (Baines, Shaw)
    ---------------------------- Carrick
    ------ Gerrard, Wiltshire (Henderson, Barkley)
--- Rooney (Walcott) ------------- Welbeck (Sterling)
    ------------------------- Sturridge

May not be world beaters, but that team has the ability, they just need someone with a bit of "amibtion" to manage them.
My daily log(s) got more ambition than Woy!

Names in brackets are players next in line to that postion and therefore should be in the squad, we ain't gonna win the World Cup so take and blood some youngsters, they aren't gonna do worse then the so called established players!

Roy lacks ambition. Has he seen how tight the top of the table is?

If we draw our last two games Brazil will be lacking England and the whole world will be sad. Except Scotland... us not qualifying would be like winning the wc for them.

Roy plays every game aspiring for a nill all draw.

If Roy were president of Fifa he'd make the goals 6 inches wide and make everyone play in the crab position.

I'm sorry Lampard is a class player and has been as good as Gerrard in an England shirt.

In all honesty neither have really done it for England and they're not the only ones.

Lampard is a top player, can't dispute that.

Moore was over rated though. Got a lovely book from the library recently which analyses a heap of football related topics. England conceded on average more goals a game when Moore played and had a lower win percentage with him too. Rose tinted glasses and all that because he was the only WC winning captain we've had - but we actually conceded more with him, held less clean sheets with him and won more often. Charlton (Jack), however, was far more useful. 83% win percentage with compared to 57% without, 67% clean sheet with, 29% without and 0.42 goals conceded with compared to 0.86 without.

Yada yada, stats tell what you want. I happen to like stats, interesting reading if nothing else.

Wow, that's pretty interesting - Moore, Charlton were before my time so I don't know a lot about them apart from winning the WC. Past players etc say how Moore was a top class player, comfortable on the ball etc.
