Hi there, name's Tom, another refugee from the other forum. You've probably already heard this rant 100+ times now today but I'm so full of bile I just have to angry-type for a while, sorry.
F*** this.
I've been quiet about the board because I thought seeing the stadium through took hard work and patience which was to be commended but this is too far. There were people offering the club help with all manner of things FOR FREE on the forum and they've been snubbed. This after Brian wanders on to the forum asking us to "pull together" to get back in the league. Apparently this means continuing to stamp up the ticket price and shut up and leave it to the pros. If there is to be any meaningful "top-down assessment" of the club as Higgs promised, then why are legitimate views and suggestions from the fans (the people that pay for the whole thing) being silenced?
A few ridiculous things were said on the other forum but only in the absence of clear answers to major questions from the club. You speak middle-management bullshit, you get confusion. Simple. At the moment Darrell Clarke is the only person speaking plain English at the club. Relegation won't reduce the crowds that much but this kind of treatment might.
The libel claim is obviously concocted but even if there was something the club legitimately wanted to suppress, a cursory look at internet culture would tell you that this will backfire spectacularly. I for one was disappointed (understatement really) with losing league status but basically placid. I'm now mad as all hell.
Love Rovers, hate the board.
Peace out.
