Great acting all the way through, one of the greatest TV dramas of recent years. One of the funniest parts for me was when Gadget said he had tried fire and ice with Trudy.
Nobody knows, clever way to keep the character around if needed again. i would have liked to have seen a bit more of Combo though.
At first I thought it was a race revenge from Milky but then when the two white thugs turned up it threw me, it was odd that a group of black guys handed him over to them, who looked like skinheads. I would think Combo isn't dead and another series is in the pipeline
They were contract killers. Combo recognised them instantly. Possibly ex-NF thugs. Prior to the van doors opening he was just expecting a beating off the guys in the van. As soon as the doors opened and he was carried away he started shouting 'I don't wanna die'. He realised his fate. Whether or not the killing was carried out we are left unsure of however.
He's dead. Combo clearly was expecting a beating, as he was fine with walking off with the gang, but the moment he saw those two white blokes he knew it was going to be the end. I like the way it ended, with Milky essentially taking the role of Combo in the original film, as like Combo was, he is now all alone, especially since Lol can tell that Milky knows something about Combo. Personally, as much as I loved the character, I hope he is dead, especially if they do end up doing This Is England 92. Making it grim like '88 and setting it to the grunge music scene would really work IMO. BTW, according to Andrew Shim (Milky) on twitter, that entire cafe scene was ad-libbed, all of it. If so, that's brilliant, it was an incredible scene.
I'm not a great fan of film and TV awards, but just that one scene in the cafe should help This Is England clean up,
Just cought up with the final ep , wow , powerful or what ..!! The acting was unreal , that has to win awards surely Can't believe that's the end, I want to see what happens next to everyone
