2-0 down to oxon, either the squad is ****e or the manager or both. now we know graham turner is a good manager but to see town wallowing in 19th place is unacceptable.

i believe a huge mistake was made in getting rid of raven. thank goodness tom bradshaw will soon be back and may get a game. we need a new defence and some firepower up front. graham turner this is disgraceful, sort it soon
 
Don't worry chaps, i'm tearing my hair out as well. Textbook stuff though if you consider it- deserved to go up, play-off hangover, midtable mediocrity at best. It's a well-trodden path, and not just by us, despite what it may seem :emoticon-0149-no:

this was a hopelessly inept performance by town. 12 fouls to their 4, 2 shots on target to their 6. thank goodness we have a permanent cushion in plymouth, hereford and crewe, for the time being. is this shambles of a squad capable of beating crewe at home. i doubt it, what a gutless performance from town. sort it g turner whilst you have the time. rowland wycherley can be impatient!!
 
NOT that i'm this kind of fan but i'm bloody glad i didn't go now. I just hope we don't start booing or anything like that- that'll do nothing. We HAVE to beat Crewe, no ifs or buts
 
quite agree manfeelings, i am off to the loggerheads to get tight. i may be in a less critical mind after a few pints of bathams. i do worry about rowland wycherlys patience though!

hang on and calm down, there is a long way to go yet!, we have just not settled yet, give it another six more games, everybody was happy with the signings at the start of the season, so come on lets give them a bit of space, it was always going to be difficult to get a result at Oxford!!
 
wise words of comfort tinned hats, i am calming down now after a couple of pints in the loggerheads. who is going to stop the millers, crawley, wombles and the gills from finishing in the top 4. come to that at t'other end it seems curtains for hereford crewe or plymouth, but it is early days as well. what makes all worse is the ruddy gas won. er rowland change that ruddy awful pop art badge, the shrews will never win anything with that ruddy awful badge, roland put that decanter down and do something, no not graham turner, that ruddy awful badge!!
 
Oxford fan in peace. Just got back from the game and very happy to get 3 points against a side I think will be near the top 3 come May. I thought we (Oxford) were the better side throughout but until the 2nd goal went in you were well in the game. Once the 2nd went in it was pretty much all over and bearing in mind that was only 6 mins into the 2nd half. I reckon you need a decent centre half with a bit of pace because our forwards ran the show

Don't get too disheartened, we played well tonight and a win has been on the cards judging by performances in our previous games

On a side note does Ainsworth have a reputation as a diver? He made one outrageous dive in the 1st half which won him a freekick which got him some stick from the crowd. He's obviously got bags of talent but its just a bit sad to see sineone that good have to cheat
 
Richmond - thanks for that, some glimmer of hope!! The CD has Sharps in it who is captain, but also coming back from injury so I thinks needs a rest. Ainsworth isn't normally a diver. Good luck for rest of season, let's hope were both in auto places come may
 
Neither of you tin pots will be in the auto's come may. You will bottle it as usual and Oxon will be mid table at best. A thrashing against the gas will ensure that :)

Listend on radio and Town were diabolical. I did not believe at the beginning of the season that we had a squad capable of making a good go at promotion, sadly after last night my concerns seem to be right. The problem is there are probably at least 10 teams in League 2 easily better than Town.
 
entirely agree, millers gills, wombles, vale crawley 5 of these will ensure pro leaving the gas and shrews mid table if shrews start performing. 2 points from 9 and we have not played any class teams yet the future is bleak the fute is blue and amber. and change that ruddy badge.
 
Dont drag us into your mess <laugh> we will be in the top 3 (probably top even come the end of the season ;) ) and we will be playing away to Crawley soon, which you wanna keep your eye on as we are going to hammer them, and let the rest of league two know that Crawley are ****e, and they will not win the league <ok>
