I don't agree entirely because he was very good on his debut vs arsenal, one of our best players pre season and did well home to Palace in a cameo, but a loan isn't a bad idea .

Howe said he's going nowhere though last week so he's obviously seen he's got something.

Yesterday was just a bad performance in general

But that was where we have been going wrong. The loans are not at a competitive level for the young players involved. Our loan system has been in desperate need of improving for years. As has our coaching at all levels.

Howe, I believe, has proved what good coaching can achieve.

We shall see, but for me Anderson seems a bit nervy and too desperate to prove himself in these occasional appearances and brief subs.

I do think regular competitive games will be improve him, and he's only going to get that at the moment via a loan.

It was just one of those days - the second goal came from Bruno and Joelinton trying to much on the edge of the box and a bad touch from Joelinton. Was shocking to see how many times we gifted opportunities away to SW and in reality they could have scored more.

Saying that - Isak has to bury the header, anywhere other than at the GK its a goal, Anderson HAS TO BURY an open goal from 5 yards out can't beleive he let the keeper get to it, Murphy HaS tO bUrY that chance - take it round the keeper and tap it in, aimless flick shows the amount forethought that goes on his head - something I'm coaching 13/14 year old kids... Wood's miss was probably the hardest of the 4 chances and a one legged blind man could have scored it. How he put it that far over is beyond belief - but it wasn't worse than any of the other misses.

    Positives:
Dubz - back in nets, good showing after no football for 6 months.
Manquillo - decent and probably our MOTM, able deputy for either FB position.
Joelinton was good bar the one mistake (that led to the goal).
Isak getting mins in, could have had a goal or two on another day and he'll be back soon enough.
Rested the majority of the first team for the LC QF.
Chance to focus on the league and European spaces.

Major positives - hopefully a few of those won't get another opportunity and it'll show the board we need 2/3 more players THIS window and next. Lewis, Murphy, Ritchie probably shouldn't play again for the club.

Anderson needs a loan no good playing 5/10 mins here and there at his age needs to be on loan playing regularly in the Championship.
