Nicklas Bendtner is KEEN on a return to Arsenal after finding his goal scoring touch at Sunderland.
The Denmark international is on loan at the Stadium of Light from Arsenal, with his short-term deal set to end once the Premier League season concludes in May.
However, Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill has admitted that he has so far refrained from giving any consideration to the future of Bendtner.
The Danish star has hit it off well with Stephane Sessegnon, culminating in an excellent display against Manchester City at the weekend.
However, O'Neill is not hopeful of retaining the Danish star who has netted four goals in seven games in March.
He said: "I've not thought about his future at all. I've not mentioned it to him, there's no point in putting pressure on anyone at the moment.
"Bendtner played as a real proper centre-forward. He was holding the ball, bringing people into play - and he scored he goal. On a performance like that his self-vaunted opinion of himself is maybe justified."
O'Neill believes the 24-year-old may still fancy his chances of making his mark at Arsenal, and added: "He's played very well and may think that with that type of performance he's still capable of breaking into Arsenal's squad."
LET HIM GO FOR **** SAKE, AND LET US GET A STRIKER IN.
